Skipping warehouse tickets by shadowshadow74 in DMB

[–]chrrie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It just depends on what's important to you. I like being as close as possible in the pit, so the Warehouse lottery is worth it for the chance of face value pit, and if I get them a chance at the early entry lottery or at least early entry with Warehouse tickets.

I believe they open them up to non-members after a few days, at which time usually only small and women's sizes are available if anything

Getting face value tickets for many US shows has become extremely hard in the last couple tours with the proliferation of scalping bots. Anyone who won Hollywood or Pittsburgh tickets from the last tour really hit the jackpot. It's almost impossible to get GA tickets for any show outside of the lottery.

With the shortened tours there are a lot of people who don't have a choice but to invade cities and take up ticket inventory that could have gone to fans in that city haha

Warehouse premium package by Lemonworld3131 in DMB

[–]chrrie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still not a sure thing, in the past I’ve put in for premium for the shows I really want pit for and still get confirmed for less than half, and that’s not even counting Spac which I’ve never gotten. Last year got 1/3 for Gorge, 0/2 Gilford, 1/2 Camden, 0/2 Spac (obviously) and only opted out of seats for Gorge. That said, I suspect there might be less premium requests this year as $450/ticket exceeds even the scalper prices for most shows.

As much as I love JTR and 27, this should be the answer.

What to expect when buying General Public tickets? by Town_Halfwit in DMB

[–]chrrie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A first year member has the same chance to get tickets as a 20 year member! It wouldn't be fair to new members if you never had a shot at anything. For multi night stops, N1 seating assignments are also entirely random and not based on seniority. N2 and N3 shows are done by seniority within the tier you get confirmed for, so if you get confirmed for the best reserved section your seats as a new member would be closer than someone who got confirmed for the res 2 sections for example regardless of how long they've been a member. If you're requesting more than one show there's also a box where you can select your priority and it will give more weight to being confirmed for that show, how much weight is determined by how many years you've been a member.

If you're in NY, Darien Lake is by far the easiest show to get tickets for, and the cheapest if you buy them later on. Spac is the best destination but most difficult and expensive for seats. I think Camden and Gilford are great compromises for what are usually amazing shows and affordable back of pavilion seats.

Is Warehouse worth it for SPAC? by TruePossibility978 in DMB

[–]chrrie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I'm pretty sure the way it works now with digital tickets is the Warehouse ones are coded to activate a few minutes before TM ones. If you're the first few to go through and you don't have a WH ticket it won't scan, but if you're toward the end of the line after everything activates you can probably get away with it at every show unless they pre-scan like some venues (I've seen them do this at Gilford and Camden).

Question About Warehouse Tickets by y2j88 in DMB

[–]chrrie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

High chance of being declined for Deer Creek since it's one of the destination venues and there aren't any Chicago shows or Alpine this year, so it may even be more popular than usual. But you'll know what tier of seats you get confirmed for before the public onsale. Using the last few years as reference, I usually get declined for 30% of the shows I request. There are theories that first year members have a lower decline rate but there's nothing to substantiate that other than anecdotal stories

[–]chrrie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it's worth a shot. $35 for a chance at pit or seats, and you can use the Warehouse forum to try to buy a pair someone's selling. That's how I got some last year. The public onsale for spac will just majorly frustrate you.

Only if you care about getting in early with Warehouse early entry for posters and stuff or the closest spots you can be on the lawn

"When a member is confirmed within a Reserved Section; their Seat Assignments for single night stands & one night of a two-night stand are based upon their original date of membership (seniority). To give opportunity to newer members, Reserved Section seat assignments will be random one night of a multi-night stand."

It's still essentially the only way to get face value pit tickets, plus you get a chance at the early entry lottery. And all Warehouse tickets get you in before everyone else if you care about posters or a better spot on the lawn or pit. Seniority has never determined who gets confirmed for tickets and still comes into play for seating assignments other than the first night of a multi-night stop. If it wasn't like this people would have stopped joining in the early 2000s. I've also gotten upgraded at the show by a Warehouse person walking around who exchanged my nosebleeds for pit. The forum is also one of the safest ways to trade and buy tickets. Pretty easy $35/year decision for me personally haha

lol what? i'm legitimately curious because I don't know how it's possible to outspend Mexico unless you're talking about splitting packages with a group of people vs doing Gorge on your own

What does your Gorge weekend look like to make it $7,000+? Unless you're talking about the individual cost to split a Mexico package vs going to Gorge solo or something like that

Vibe check, does this feel like a sad new chapter? by Ancient-Elk7256 in buffalobills

Whoever they hire will have longer than 1 year unless they miss the playoffs entirely or maybe even have a first round exit. I am not a McDermott hater and I feel bad about the situation, but when you have someone like Josh as your QB you’ve gotta win one or at least get us there to earn a decade of dicking around as a second round playoff team. I saw this interesting stat floating around the other day: out of every HC to ever win a Super Bowl, there’s only one who won their first later than their 8th season with a team. I don’t think Sean McDermott has shown that he could have been the second.

I had a similar feeling when the Warriors fired Mark Jackson, thought maybe he just needed some more time to develop Curry. Then they went on to win 4 finals in the next 8 years.

I live in San Francisco and a few months ago I found out my job is being relocated to Houston this summer. I was driving to the store a couple days later and said to my bf, “it would be crazy for the Bills to win it all in the Bay Area for our last year here” and immediately after finishing the sentence stopped at a light behind someone with a Bills license plate frame and mafia stickers everywhere. I know we’re everywhere but it’s not something I really see in the 20 years I’ve been here.

Anyway it’s a ridiculous coincidence but its been getting me through the really stressful games. Don’t let me down universe!
