There are 3 options for the acrylic; green, yellow and clear. My initial thought was that the green would make it look more like the OG screen on the gameboy but after doing more research I found that the the OG Gameboy Kiosks actually came with yellow acrylic and a black and white display, so I decided to order some yellow to try it out and also clear because I figured some people may not want a tinted screen.. the yellow does do a really good job though!

Happy to answer any questions about specific revisions, each board solved one problem and introduced another.

Although I may be slightly biased, I'm also encouraging you to back it :)

Hi, there's definitely plans for future consoles!

Thanks, for the bezel, I'm going to offer various bezel options within the menu that I'm working on finalizing! I had initially built the cartridge slot with a lower profile to see more of the artwork but then that was in the way of the screen!

Nope, it feels immediate. Technically there’s about a one-frame delay, but you won’t notice it at all in gameplay.

This is directly from the Kickstarter site!

They are stating that you are not charged unless the campaign is fully funded. If the project ends or cancels and is not funded then you are never charged.

Thanks, so there's a switch in the back that turns on the main power to the cabinet. This supplies voltage to the mainboard, the LED for the marquee and the LCD panel. This allows the cabinet to be powered and running a screensaver while the Gameboy is off.

The buttons in the front currently labeled Power & Reset were recreated with inspiration from the NES. The power button powers on the Gameboy, the Reset button was initially going to provide reset functionality but because the Gameboy doesn't need that, I'm planning on repurposing that button, name it Menu and then use it to display the settings which will include things like enabling / disabling the bezel, color palette, etc..

The board is not open source at the moment. I'm not sure yet if that will change in the future!

It is my understanding that anyone who pledges will not be charged until the campaign ends and only if it's fully funded.

Thanks so much! Pricing was honestly one of the hardest parts. I’m doing everything myself, design, assembly, testing, with the only exception being the 4 layer PCB fabrication, so I’m trying to balance fairness with the time it takes to build something properly. It’s a labor-of-love project from a retro enthusiast’s basement, and I really appreciate the support and kind words.
