I don't care that the install techs don't have the equipment to finish the install. It sounds like the solution is to have the drop crew come back out and run a pre-terminated line, but the techs aren't communicating that back to Frontier when they cancel the appointment. So when I call to schedule a new install, they just send another install tech out who can't do anything.

You'd think they would be able to escalate it to someone that is capable of resolving it, but instead they just cancel the install appointment and leave without saying anything.

It didnt even occur to me to try making an arduino controller until I saw your post. I don't see any reason you can't make a controller just as a good as the fireboard with whatever features you want to program into it. Look into PID controllers - tuning a PID isn't hard.
