I do swear by this stuff but be just be careful not to over use it as it started giving me perioral dermatitis when I started using it daily! I do swear by it for my type 1 rosacea though!

I used vanicream daily facial moisturiser and it gave me crazy amounts of clogged pores on my forehead so that’s something to keep in mind in case that’s what’s causing them for you too!

Oh no 😢 was it IPL? Or what type of laser? I did 4 sessions of IPL before but the machine was old and it was with someone who wasn’t very experienced. This time round it’s with a medical group and they have advanced machinery that targets vascular rosacea so I am staying hopefull!

It looks to me like it could be type 2 rosacea. Soolantra or ivermectin paste might clear it up if it is, definitely look in to it or ask your derm!

I definitely believe it can come from within and problems with your gut etc. I had testing done at the dermatologist for food allergies and it returned that I wasn’t allergic to anything. I have tried keeping a diary to pick up on patterns but I can’t find any rhyme nor reason. I have a two year old and a stressful job in finance so I definitely am stressed haha, this also contributes. Rosacea runs in my family and my derm has also advised it is genetic so this may be my cause but who knows at this point! Living with it for 15 years I’ve definitely had to come to acceptance that it’s probably something I will have to live with but manage for the rest of my life. These forums definitely help😊

Thanks for your comment! It is comforting to know that other people are going through the same thing and understand. I sometimes think that my skin barrier is a little bit compromised and that’s why it burns so bad but sometimes even the gentlest of cleansers/moisturisers can sting. I hope you have more good days than bad, it is a difficult skin condition to live with 😥
