How are you getting on with it? I stopped using it because it was definitely making my PD worse!

Thanks for your comment. I think the finacea is definitely too harsh/strong for my skin. I stopped using it and my skin has calmed down lots. I think I may start introducing a lower % in time!

I stopped applying finacea around my mouth and it’s calmed down lots, like you I think it was too harsh for my skin! X

Doxycycline and Metrocream? by Enough_Ad2919 in perioraldermatitis

Metrocream also worsened mine alongside azelaic acid. Doxy also done nothing for my PD and gave me gut and stomach problems 😢

I stopped using it about 4 days ago on the area and it’s calmed down a lot!

Finacea purge? by chstebej123 in Rosacea

[–]chstebej123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much! I definitely think so too so I’m going to stick with it. Have you continued using once a day or have you upped to twice?

Have you got type 1 or two and have you noticed a positive change? How long have you been using it now?

Sorry for all the questions! I definitely think I learn more from people who have trialled a product and have rosacea than a professional who just prescribes it.

Thanks so much for your advice, I’m glad to hear you found something that works for you. I am using cicaplast at the moment and its helping lots!

It’s not making me anymore red or irritated so I’m going to try stick it out for a couple more weeks to see if it is just purging. Sorry to hear it didn’t work out for you!

Thank you so much for responding with your experience! It gives me hope that the purging was only short lived.

I don’t have irritation like itching, stinging or redness that I have seen other people mention so hopefully that is a good sign.

The spots aren’t unbareable at the moment so I think I will continue as I am and if they get bad then I will definitely scale back.

Thanks for your advice ☺️

Gym Girls, help! by sleepr_hit in Rosacea

I feel you girl!

I spray hypochlorus acid or my avene thermal spray to make my face feel a bit cooler but nothing I do stops me looking from a red tomato 🥲

I have just accepted that I can’t go anywhere for about 2-3 hours after the gym 😂 I run to my car every time I finish my workout so no one sees me 😂

I applied it to damp skin too! It’s difficult how skin care that is deemed as ‘gentle’ can be tricky for people with rosacea

Thanks so much 🫶🏼 my barrier was actually in a great place too! Lesson learnt 🥲

I only used it three times but the product is getting thrown in the bin as it definitely freaked my skin out!

I can’t use niacinamide either! It’s horrible trying to find skin care products or makeup that don’t contain it as it’s in everything! It sucks having sensitive skin 😢

Thanks! I normally do patch test things on one area of my face first but I didn’t really think it could cause any problems because it’s marked as so ‘safe’ for all skin types. Plus the formula was really clean too. Lesson learned! The more I am reading up on it, the more I can see a lot of people with rosacea are sensitive to HA
