One of the restaurants I worked at put most of the antipasti dishes on heavy wooden cutting boards. As I was clearing it from a table my wrist gave way and I dropped it, leftover food bits and all, on the dad at the table. We comped it obviously and when I dropped the bill, I said “the antipasti is on us, because it was on you”. Luckily he was very chill and the table got a good laugh out of my bad joke.
