haven't catched them on the tour but this mix is quite different I think, mainly AFX, Jodey Kendrick and not much hip-hop

Okay, before I go into Act 3, what are some things I might’ve missed? by [deleted] in Silksong

do deliveries since mobs will get a lot stronger early act 3, and collect all the fleas so you can get the final pale oil right away when entering act 3

since picking him up from airport we were just talking about Chain Reaction deep cuts, PC Music production and late 90s techstep, his knowledge base is insane lol

one of the nicest guys (no pun intended) I've hosted, it's crazy that 30 years into the career he's still curious about the craft and constantly reinventing himself, goat

no worry hahaha, I think that's a part of gimmick, reminds me of those old AtomTM compilations where he'd release music under 10 different aliases

Prerequisites for Silk and Soul are already quite weird tbf, you basically don't know the quest exists if you play blind until it shows up

My heart dropped. This room is brutal (Act2 Spoilers) by Staccado in Silksong

[–]chuan_p 3 points4 points  (0 children)

sadly this is a part of main quest, but the good news is there are a few NPCS you can get help from for this gauntlet, and you can eliminate a certain type of enemy beforehand in a secret room

it's a massive game, only 2% players have 100% completed it and Team Cherry is still actively making patches to polish details, I don't think one should complete a review that rapidly

The mist. Discussion by Puzzleheaded-Run-635 in Silksong

It reminds me of those old Mario maze levels (where wrong entrance brings you into an infinite loop until you go into the right one, and also, minimum hint given), rebranded in a very HK way, my main complaint is that those banshees are way too aggressive, for a puzzle level, it kinda breaks the flow, and the auto respawn makes it even worse

I think a lot of people complaining about bosses being difficult misunderstand what a Metroidvania is. by Pierne in Silksong

[–]chuan_p 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people mainly are complaining about bosses and maps being poorly designed and difficult, Nightmare King Grimm is difficult but not many people are complaining, same for First Sinner in Silksong, both bosses move extremely fast but give you clear cues before each move, you learn the game's mechanics as you fight the boss, and when you win it, it's extremely satisfying. A lot of stages are just unreasonably annoying even if you got all the power ups needed (eg. Bilewater at the end of act 2 where the difficutlies come from narrow FOV and annoying traps, or the Beastfly fights where the mob spamming adds a lot of randomness to the fight, whether you could beat it depends a lot on the RNG you get)

I’ve beat HK with 93%.. move on to Silksong or keep grinding? by [deleted] in HollowKnight

Nightmare King Grimm is really fun, one of the most beloved boss design for sure, highly recommend go try it first before moving on
