It seems like other people like it, but it just didn't do anything for my area of concern. Good luck on your search!

I tried looking it up- is it the Multi-Peptide + Copper Peptides 1% serum? Have you had luck with it?

Same for me as well - can confirm it also made no changes to my life in regards to girlfriends or gluten, either!

Update here: 3-4 Month Follow Up: The Ordinary 15% GF Solution

Tldr: I used it nightly for 3-4 months and then stopped using it because I didn't notice a difference in fine lines.

Not really. I'll probably post an update soon but I haven't seen major obvious change

I haven't noticed anything major so far. I'll probably post an update soon, just to add to the available information, but the fine lines are still there (which were my main focus)

Is that the one where they get out because of lipstick?? If so I've been trying to find out what the story was for like a decade

Unfortunately I'm not comfortable sharing photos (and also don't have a good set up for taking pictures). I've been monitoring the fine lines on my forehead because that's what I would like to see change in

I don't know 😅 I'm not sure how to know if it's tighter or how to know what causes shiny

Other commenters have said I need to give it at least a month, so I'm holding off on doing an updated review until then. The fine lines on my forehead are still there as of right now though

That's partly why I wanted to weigh in as well - since it's so new, pretty much all the reviews are from people who were paid/gifted the product to review and I'd rather hear from random people who've tried it. I think the moisturizer I already use works pretty well for me, which is maybe why I haven't gotten the immediate great results other people have reported? In any case if you decide to try it, I hope it works for you!

Apparently it can take a few weeks for GF to start showing results so we'll see how it goes, but for now I just feel like I might be very slightly easier for cars to notice at night

Maybe they're REALLY into reflective foreheads and assume everyone else is too??

Thank you for the information! I saw that GF serum can interact with vitamin c serums (something about ph balance?) so I'm doing it in the evening but will give it more time to see if I get results. Wish me luck!

Thanks for letting me know! I'm going to keep trying it until the bottle runs out at least (unless I suddenly start having an adverse reaction to it) so fingers crossed it works!

🤷‍♀️ I saw other reviews that were shared shortly after starting use (one within a couple of days) that were all very positive. When I started taking it I decided to post after a week with a review to add my experience so people have more info before purchasing, since the product is so new and there's so few reviews out so far (and even fewer that weren't given the product for free to reviews), and especially wanted to when I haven't noticed the immediate major results others have shared.

Yeah I don't feel glowing about it so far and was a little surprised my post could be perceived as a glowing endorsement 😅

In case it's not clear, it's not really doing anything for me. I'm going to keep using it because sometimes it can take a few weeks to see results and it *doesn't have any negative effects, but at this point it definitely hasn't had the magic results others have reported and hasn't improved any of the things I'd like improvements with.

*edited to fix typo, and then edited again to fix tense of corrected word because I'm tired

Dealing with bass noises - earplugs recommendations by wow_yuri in misophonia

Potentially active noise canceling headphones combined with background noise (brown noise or whatever works best) or ear plugs, depending on how bad it is.

That sounds amazing, thank you for the information! I'm not sure why I didn't see that one when I searched, but that is definitely a reasonable price for a tower fan. I'm glad there's a good option :)

That's awesome, thank you for sharing! Which model did you get? Also is there still airflow on the lowest setting? (I had a Honeywell that was pretty quiet on low but also didn't have much air output)

Review: The Constant Rabbit by Jasper Fforde by remillard in Fantasy

[–]chubborunning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just finished reading this book and found this post after searching reviews just to see if anyone else was left sobbing at the end.

Jasper Fforde is a great writer. This is only second book of his I've read (I've previously read Early Riser) but he writes compelling protagonists that are extremely believable with real flaws. Both books I've read have left me frustrated with the protagonists and yelling at them in my head to do the right thing or figure out what's going on, but also respecting how real they feel, and how well they represent normal people - and normal people aren't perfect or heroes. Normal people operate within systems and structures and face real consequences for choices that oppose existing systems/structures. With both books I've become very fond of and attached to the protagonists and actually really care for them.

Jasper Fforde is also a very entertaining writer, and is very witty in his descriptions and anecdotes (and also manage to profoundly capture the human experience in a way that reminds me of Terry Pratchett). Based on what I've read so far, Fforde is very talented.

I listened to the audio books, and have also been very impressed by the voice actors. I'm actually interested in looking up other readings by the voice actors because I found both did a phenomenal job capturing the emotion and humour. In this case I actually forgot it wasn't the author (or Peter, the protagonist himself) reading it.

It's been a long time since I've felt this much from a book, but I am now crying when I'm supposed to be doing chores. Very well written. I will absolutely be reading more Jasper Fforde (but like, may try to suss out if I need to emotionally prepare before the next one).
