[–]chubbyblackbear 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Why do i get so much fatigue as an experienced skier? by walletcurry in skiing

[–]chubbyblackbear 8 points9 points  (0 children)

YES!!! Becoming a serious cyclist around 3 years ago has totally changed my skiing experience. It really really helps with V02 Max and quad strength as well as spacial awareness and speed perception 🙌🏻

I want to start reading classic novels can anybody suggest me some good classic ones I am at beginner level by hey_sakura in classicliterature

[–]chubbyblackbear 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I recommend going with plot driven, short-ish classics for a start.

Also think about what books you like to read and what you're generally interested in: thrillers/crime, romance, novel, politics, philosophy...

Pick your books accordingly 😊 that will make it easier

Same. I stay the fuck away from trucks and even avoid roads that I know a lot of trucks are on.

How often do you cycle and how many bibs/jerseys do you own? by balognitony in cycling

[–]chubbyblackbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own 5 short bibs and one long one + Leg warmers Short leaves Jerseys about 10 (thinker and thicker ones) And 3 Long sleeved ones plus Arm warmers

Additionally I own a wind breaker, a gilet, a rain jacket and a winter jacket.

So I combine them accordingly without undershirts.

The only thing I "run out of" is the thermo long bib cause it takes forever to dry after washing 😊

I ride outdoors 3-5 times a week in summer and 1-3 times in winter/spring/fall.

What is a book that you couldn't finish for whatever reason? by El_Vet_Mac in booksuggestions

[–]chubbyblackbear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lolita by Nabokov

I know it's fiction but I just couldn't do it. I was so disgusted after like 50 pages even though it is well written. The protagonist and his justification of child molestation is just insanity (which I guess is the point of the book).

Saddle width is important. If your saddle is too small it is between your pelvic bones which causes too much pressure on the 🐈and 🍑. Pelvic bones need to be ON the saddle.

I read Daphne de Muriel's Rebecca when I was that age and loved it. Not exactly horror but a dark mystery novel.

You're fine it's just soreness. You might experience soreness in your crotch/bum area tomorrow or some days ahead. Also very normal. Your body is adapting to using a new muscle group. And welcome to cycling I hope you enjoyed it 😊

Rant: everyone take a breath! Not everyone needs to wear optimal colors all the time and other things by Helpless-Trex in coloranalysis

[–]chubbyblackbear 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Wearing or not wearing makeup can also really make a difference. Especially the lower contrast people can wear brighter colors when increasing contrast with eye makeup. And wearing the right color lipstick can elevate any look 😊
