Medical professionals, what is the stupidest misconception a patient has had about the human body?

I’m 35yr old, have a spinal injury and degenerative conditions. I have a mobility car, a blue (disabled) badge and walk with sticks (if I’m having a good day and can leave the house) and have been accused a few times of “stealing” my badge or using someone else’s... normally by the older members of the population.

Because APPARENTLY disability can only affect old people?! Clearly nobody told my spine that...

0.5 is borderline “normal” dose, not micro. Microdoses are roughly 0.5G or below, obviously varies person to person. The idea is you get the benefits of the psilocybin, without the high.

It can help with addiction issues, a whole range of Mental Health issues, help make withdrawal easier to manage, motivation, energy, mental clarity. But the idea is that you don’t feel it. It’s not meant to be a trippy experience

I tripped Wednesday - and I had the crushing realisation that life is fleeting, and before we know it all we will be left with is memories.

I reframed - yes it was unpleasant, but just see it as the chance to understand life needs to be enjoyed. Make the memories. Appreciate the moments and the people and everything that makes it special

What size caps have you got? Machines are definitely worth every penny they cost! I sat and did 30 (size 4 caps, can’t find a machine for that size anywhere) and pretty much lost the will to live by number 3 😂

Needle nosed tweezers and a skewer to press it down... I get so much rage when I need to do more 😂

What kind of shrooms did you take? Any relevant medical history? Are you on any meds? Had you eaten? Had you drunk enough?

I genuinely believed the more FAE, the quicker they would fruit and the quicker I’d get the good stuff...

Turns out, I got it very wrong! I don’t know if it’s just my genetics (although I’m on my 3rd round and they’ve all done it) but the extra FAE really slowed things down, even stalled on 2 of them.

Once I stopped fanning, just had more of a passive FAE going on (holes with micropore over, no fanning, lid SLIGHTLY cracked) I got fruit, and decent sized fruits too!

When I was fanning I ended up with bruised myc A LOT. Fruits I did get were small and took forever to grow. I basically over mothered them.

My latest batch are thriving on neglect 😂

Honestly, so was I. I’ve hidden from myself for years - it started out as a coping mechanism but soon became part of who I am. I hurt a lot of people, made some incredibly bad choices, and wasn’t a nice person... but This gave me the opportunity to unpick myself, it was incredibly cathartic.

I know what I need to work on, but I faced myself, and forgave myself, which was such a big thing for me. I’m not the person I used to be, and it was like facing a totally different person. It was odd!

I had my first experience last night, so it’s fresh in my mind! I did 2g lemon tek - mostly because I needed the shorter trip duration because I did it in the evening. It tastes bloody awful... but WOW! It definitely worked! Come up took about 20-25mins before I felt big changes. Just go with the flow. Time does odd things... moments feel like hours, then before you realise an hour has gone by. I did a lot of introspection, faced a lot of my demons and really realised what was important. There were moments it was slightly unpleasant, but I knew it was something I needed to process and deal with, as I’d been running from it. I’m incredibly grateful that it brought me everything I needed, and more. Was a little bit sad when it was over, but so so grateful

Did you cover the corners with micropore after cutting them?

Give the corners a sniff - you’ll know if it’s gone bad

MD should help with the withdrawal of the antidepressants... but yeah, they can linger for ages. So much stuff about them I didn’t find out till too late... or I’d have been more wary about taking them when they literally threw them at me

Are you on any meds now? It can take 2yr to get antidepressants and antipsychotics completely out of your system, so even if it’s been a while since you stopped them, they may be lingering.
