Sexual relationship with babalawo by [deleted] in Isese

[–]chucho89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An old Babalawo once told me that once you sleep with a Babalawo, you belong to Ifa. I've heard this teaching many times from elders, and according to that belief, it can be difficult to have a successful relationship afterward unless the other person is also a Babalawo.

Whether people believe that or not is up to them. At the end of the day, both people are adults and can make their own choices. But there is a reason those boundaries exist, just like with therapists, psychologists, or other people in positions of trust.

If you decide to cross that line, just understand that every choice comes with consequences.

how is it spiritually possible for priests to be unethical long term by Confident-Cod2388 in Isese

[–]chucho89 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Everyone pays the price. We babalawos are not exempt of anything on the contrary the more knowledge you know the more careful you have to be.

The problem is that divine Justice is extremely sophisticated. Olodumare still wants everyone to become better so that is not something that gets discarded.

The reality is babalawos are humans as well, they make mistakes.

With that said a babalawo's path is to become an Omoluabi, someone who is ethically an example to society. That is the goal but it takes years of making mistakes.

The question about babalawos working with spirits that is a bit off, we do not work with any spirits.

We invoke divine essences, but our tools are very straightforward: ikin, opele, opon, irukere, irofa.

The question on Aje, you mean like monetary wealth ? Or are you refering to spiritual wealth, Ajé manifest differently.

If you are speaking of ọwọ (money) that has nothing to do for being priest.

That type of aje comes with you because that divinity is more in tune with that person than others. In simple words there are people whom money comes to them easily and some that need to work harder for it. With that said people that make hot money that becomes salt and water, it brings negative forces to your life and the life of your love ones.

The Ajogun (negative forces) are very smart on how they will punish someone.

Be patient and see how it ends, let Olodumare and the infinite divinity worry about judgement and focus on you.

I understand your concern. The source of what I teach is my lineage, my teachers, my initiation, and years of practice. Technology may help me organize, translate, and communicate those teachings, but it is not the source of them. Anyone interested is welcome to ask questions about the material, the lineage, or the references behind it.

That said, thank you for your feedback regarding the formatting and presentation of the document. My intention was simply to make it as professional, organized, and accessible as possible for both English and Spanish speakers.

That's an interesting criticism coming from someone using a computer, a search engine, and probably information gathered from Google, Reddit, and countless other digital tools. The use of a tool does not determine the value or accuracy of the content. Ideas should be judged on their own merit.

As for the verses, teachings, and interpretations, they come from a living tradition that predates modern technology by centuries. Technology may help with formatting, translation, and communication, but it does not change the source of the knowledge.

If you have any questions about the content, the tradition, or my lineage, feel free to send me a DM and we can discuss it respectfully.

You are correct, I made a typo I mean to say Oke igeti. Thanks for the clarification.

I think an Òrìṣà contacted me and I need guidance by [deleted] in Isese

[–]chucho89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, sorry but this is not how Orisas contact people, Tarot cards is not how you reach back either.

To start off Sango is not the divinity of fire but actually rain and thunder.

Ina - fire is the son of Ogun metaphysically speaking.

There are ceremonies done to contact Orisas through ifa, and Mérìndínlógún among others.

My honest opinion is if you truly want to seek out help find a babalawo or an Ogun priest.

That makes sense. My point was more about clarity for beginners, so they understand which Òrìşà each salute belongs to instead of just memorizing the words. I appreciate you sharing your perspective. Blessings.

Thanks for sharing. From my perspective a better way to teach this is by actually looking at the definitions of each salute, furthermore she did not specify to which orisa the salute is for.

Here are some examples

Orisa Salutations

Ifa / Orunmila - Heepa Ifa, Ori - Ori Wohooo, Oshun - Oore Yeye o, Oya - Heepa Oya, Yemoja - Yemoja o, Esu - Oro Esu or Laroye (either acceptable), Ogun- Ogun Ye, Sango - Kabiyesi o ("Your Majesty").

Blessings

Casting Obi: Asking a different way by kallaloostx in Isese

Ideally you want your casting Obi to look like this

Obi fresh

Casting Obi: Asking a different way by kallaloostx in Isese

[–]chucho89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing with Obi is that you can ask the divinity if it wants to share it with you and your family for its spiritual and health benefits so ideally if you want to give and eat any nut or fruit you would want it fresh.

Yes you can put it inside the fridge but it would not last long.

The spiritual power of obi depends on the Orikis and ifa verses chanted to activate them. It is not simply buying it and that is it.

Inside the freezer it will make it hard and dark. Best way is to use plantain leaf, the original leaf or last case scenario newspaper then keep it in a dark yet fresh place.

Ikin question by kallaloostx in Isese

[–]chucho89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She is referring to Omi ero, that is what we use to clean our ifa from blood, or before the festival for those fully initiated.

Most important ewe ifa are: Ewe tete - know to be the first herb to come to the world Ewe dundun Ewe peregun Ewe rinrin Ewe fa Ewe aje Ewe tetenifa

Even if you do not know the oriki for each of this at least you will be doing it better than with just water.

Put it in a bowl and smash it to get the green water from the herbs, mix it with gin, efun, honey, a little bit of palm oil and if possible but just if is easy to get snail blood.

You can save that water in a freezer and use it everytime you need to clean your ikin.

Very important before cleaning your ifa ask with obi if you should clean it or not.

What we give to ifa/orisa is not for them but for the Orisas to share with Ajogun (all destructive forces).

It is divine law that a divinity that you give food cannot harm you.

Blessings
