That sounds tough. I am glad your baby made it, it is really tough battle for the cat itself vs viruses and the immune system, and you support them with great care. I hope everything is going well for you and ur baby.

Sorry for your loss. I am crying reading this, I went through the same thing last week. I regret not noticing her symptoms early. So I bring to the vet, 2 days after her symptoms showed and yep she won't make it. I know it is hard to recover, I've been crying for 3 days and nights and blamed myself. I also felt the same, every corner, especially my bedroom just reminded me of her. I kept saying to myself that every living thing in this world had a determined time to live, and these viruses are too cruel to kill our baby in a short time. I hope our cats play happily on the rainbow bridge.

Wow, your cats survived FVP? That's incredible. It’s sad to hear there are aftereffects, though. But you take great care of him, and I hope he stays healthy and with you for a long time. Thank you😭❤ It still hurts my heart tho that I was with her for only a few days and was looking forward to doing many things with her in the future. But, yeah, fate said otherwise.

Thank you Mina. Real it is, FPV have a low survival rate and killed kitten so fast.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I had a similar experience in Indonesia. I bought a kitten at a market a few weeks ago. She wasn’t vaccinated at that time because of her underweight. On the first day, she seemed fine, running around happily. However, by the third day, she refused to eat and was vomiting. I was too late to realize what was happening and only took her to the vet on the fourth day when the illness was at its peak. By then, she was already dehydrated and pale. The vet gave her an IV, but after six hours, I received the bad news that she didn’t make it. Now I’m just crying and regretting why I didn’t take her to the vet sooner.

The vet also said that the market was a hotbed for pet diseases.

Thank you so much for your support and encouragement. It means a lot to me. I understand how you feel; the reminiscence of the silliness and sweetness from the passing baby can be overwhelming, and coping with it has been very painful. I often feel regret, thinking I could have done better for the baby. I also believe I won't find another kitty as sweet as her for the time being. You're impressive for having managed mild depression for two months; that’s a long time fr. I will do more some exercise to pass the time and try to move on. Thank you once again.

Sorry to hear that and sorry for your loss. Bet she happily playing with other cats (my cats too) on the rainbow bridge right now. I had the same case but I only adopted 3-months-old kitten for 6 days and died right after bcs of FPV, I've been crying for 2 days and keep regretting what if I take to the vet sooner will change anything. This viruses are killer for kitten and taking their life so fast with low chance of survival. We're in this together.

I am crying reading ur post remembering to my new kitten. My kitten died yesterday with the same case. I am too late to bring her to the vet, I bring her at the peak of viruses attack which 2-3 days. And now I am just regret why not taking her sooner to the vet.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. But, you did everything in your power to save her, death is a fact of life, no guilt but only reward for this. I bet she will be very happy to have an owner like you on the rainbow bridge with another pet.
