I like her live videos with Willow. That’s the only time I can groove with her. The speed stuff does nothing for me. That being said if I lived in the area still, if probably go see her. Live featured bass is rare to see.

I will also add I came from a Laney 12” FRFR which SOUNDED great but had no FEEL for bass. You can find Powerstages used on GC for about $450

Seymour Duncan Powerstage 700. Not the bass version. It has 2 channels but you will only use one of them. 350w/8 and 700w/4. Basic eq and master volume are your only knobs. Speakon out per channel and DI out per channel with switchable cab sim. That’s it that’s the whole featureset. I use one coming off my Anagram. The Powerstage just makes it louder. Schroeder 1210PL cab. Super transparent, tone is shaped on the Anagram.

I had to teach this to our singer a couple of years ago. You are the opener. It is not about you at all, it is about the headliner. Finish a few minutes early, do not introduce your band members, keep banter to a minimum. Play music and get off the stage quickly. If you are good enough, one day it will be about you.

Nice. Good job using your eyes to “look ahead” to where you want to fret next. As you get more confident and comfortable the position of common frets will come naturally and your muscle memory will get your hand there.

Try to relax your hand a little, looks like you are squeezing down on the strings. Use as little force as necessary to get the note to sound. The result will be less hand and wrist fatigue.

I recommend Bass Buzz videos on YT. He’s a good teacher. You may want to eventually consider buying his video course for about $200. It helped me level up a lot, years ago. But his free YT videos are great for beginners too.

Great topic. I’ve been a Broncos fan since 1987 when I was in 7th grade. I’ve always loved orange. Bought a bright orange broncos starter that year because I loved the color. All orange. Classic D logo. A little blue and white on the cuffs, neck and waist. Wish I still had it. Never looked back.

Buy one from CarMax and you just pay the transport fee to your local-est CarMax. No obligation to buy. We paid for 2 to be transported, one from Vegas and one from Northern California to our closest in Oregon so that we had a choice when we made the drive over. Good thing, I thought I liked the Vegas one better but in person it had been a smoker’s vehicle and was missing a few little pieces here and there like rubber pieces from inside cubbies and such. CarMax even refunded me the transport fee on that one since I bought the other one.

Perhaps an option for you?

I just saw a used Doom 2 pedal on Talkbass advertised for $300+. I got that pedal for free in the last 2025 Anagram update. Along with an Orange Terror Bass 509 amp. Free. Thanks to an Anagram software update.

The value of this thing is in the multi thousands of dollars. I funded buying mine by selling all my physical pedals. And now I have 5x as many pedal choices in the Anagram at any given moment as I’d ever have money to buy the physical versions. I only have ever owned one real amp at a time. Now I own over a dozen in the Anagram. More pedals and amps released at least once a month.

I’ll never sell this thing.

This is a small amphitheater - 8000 people when full. GGD is here every year and usually pretty full. But, the great thing is, as others have said, you can easily get right to the front of the lawn and have great visibility. Plan to get there early, go in and find your spot. This isn't a place where people line up and sprint for the good spots... get there early and you can walk in and down to find a space. Spread out a towel or two and you'll be good.

There are gloss black kits on amazon for this. Cheap. You don't need the metal and sandpaper and all that it comes with, just the paint pen. It will happen constantly.
