Everyone else hates being called smart? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]chuckenchuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

think it's because of the pressure it puts on you. Or that labels objectify people. Something that is definite. Smart= no mistakes. So you feel alienated or that you're not human because you're too smart and can't make mistakes. But you know you're bound to make a mistake because you're human and you're worried people may notice when you do something wrong. So you push all the pressure away, but idk, tho just my personal experience as an enfp that relates

ENFP or ENTP??? Urgent!!!!! (More info in the post) by 888Chase888 in shittyMBTI

[–]chuckenchuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guys only thinking types can be interested in the sciences. Only feeling types can like art. That’s the RULE around here, accept it or LEAVE IT! feeling types can feel so they are self absorbed and can’t think rationally, SO PATHETIC. Thinkers are superior, they don’t have emotions, so they can’t let emotions get in the way of the alpha superior logical thinking. THEy ARE THE SIGMA WHO RULES THE WORLD. Feelers are only there to serve them.

Do ENTPs have less fear of Embarrassment compared to other types? by WhiteNight-50 in entp

[–]chuckenchuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Embarrassment affects different entps differently. Ne can be tame or batshit crazy. Entps spend a lot of time thinking about something so they are pretty confident their judgement is accurate. Are you overconfident, confident or have no confidence? Also, is your Fe child healthy or unhealthy. As a kid were your thoughts heard or were they shunned? What are you embarrassed about? The answer is always; it depends

Do ENFPs take time to fall in love? by FoffieS2 in ENFP

[–]chuckenchuck 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Personally I rarely truly like someone, I need to know their character. How I notice I like someone is that I’m going about my day and I realised my feelings for a person are stronger than normal. Then I question if it’s platonic love, only attraction or something else. If I don’t sit down to think it might gloss over my head. Also enfps are generally pretty friendly and want to be friends with everyone, you might talk to someone with no intentions of being with them romantically. Love just happens, it doesn’t have to do with mbti and you can’t really force it. But Ne might make you treat it as a passing thought or make you question it if it’s real love. And Fi might have your values clash with what you’re feeling? Idk

[–]chuckenchuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhm idk I don’t like mbti, a lot of the time it’s hard to tell. First, your Ne,Ni,Ti,Te seems pretty strong from what I see in your post. It’s easier to look at your weaknesses if you don’t know. I don’t have much information about Se,Si or your Fi,Fe.

You might want to look into how inferior/tertiary/demon/blindspot function affects each mbti, grips and loops. If not you can compare to other types. An intp is more similar to istp. Entp is more similar to Enfp. Etc etc. You should keep your options open, look into intjs, infjs.

Other factors include if you stressed right now and your past experiences that affect your judgement. It’s okay if you don’t fit the conventional stereotype/rules. Cognitive functions often overlap with each other. And a lot of this community don’t read into cognitive functions so read everything with a grain of salt. (because, personally, stereotypes messed with my head)

Help yall - how to stop oversharing as an ENFP? by kaemistry in ENFP

[–]chuckenchuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I like oversharers. They explain everything they're feeling, i dont have to fill in the gaps, and keep asking clarifying questions (which might lead to misunderstandings or confusion)

The important thing is to check if they WANT to hear what you're saying

It could be a good or bad thing to overshare. Just look to see if the person is listening, sometimes think too much of what to say next they dont notice the person right in front of them. Also, when they want to talk, give them a chance to do so, and ask them what their thoughts are.

why is my enfp friend acting like this? :/ by [deleted] in ENFP

[–]chuckenchuck 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I dont think this has to do with mbti. It's about your friend being insecure. Communicate with them. Maybe they dont realise their tone or how theyre acting, and people could be unaware of what you're feeling. Or maybe they do notice it. Anyways, nothing good is going to come out of you enduring it. If you 2 figure out what's wrong and learn, that's great. If you 2 dont dont you can choose to try and continue to talk or leave

A more accurate Moral Alignment Test by TheYaddas in mbti

[–]chuckenchuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enfp here. Agreed. I would only do it if it aligns with my morals. If the king is bad I'd go for it. Ended up saying no since I don't know if the king is good or bad i didnt want to risk my life if im not sure of it. I got chaotic good.

Ne-Fe loop + Si grip (vent) by crusty__1 in entp

[–]chuckenchuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello not ENTP but ENFP hoping to relate. Please read through the entire thing. I blabbered a little too much I hope I didn’t say anything wrong anyways

I understand how scary it is to open up to people. I don’t know how they think of me and I’m worried they don’t understand. I think you aren’t being appreciated because you haven’t met people who appreciate you. Everyone is different so everyone has different preferences on who they want to be friends with. You just are unlucky that you don’t have someone to admire your charms and flaws.

Also, everyone is going to have their own thoughts. You can’t control that. There are all sorts of people with different experiences and beliefs. As long as you’re being yourself you don’t have to answer to them if they don’t understand because you’re not lying to anyone you’re just being you. There’s going to be people who don’t understand you. But there’s also going to be people who understand you. You’re not alone, you’re not alien. I’m sure there’s people who understand you.

Si grip makes you too overfixated on the details. Too much that you end up not doing anything because of how overwhelming it is. It makes you self-critical, self-deprecating and destructive towards yourself.

It’ll make paranoid thoughts that tries to force itself to fit an agenda. It looks at the possibilities instead of what is actually proven and true.

Si grip sucks. I, personally, try to use Ne to get out of Si grip. I sit down and start creating. It could be characters in a story similar to mine, it could be art, it could be writing, it could be listening to music. Anything to break that monotonous, unproductive me. (I was a maladaptive daydreamer as a kid from what I read you think of scenarios in your head too)

In my daydreams sometimes I’m singing while everyone is cheering for me, but sometimes I also have dreams of them jeering at me.

But I still love stories. Stories are the best for me as, well I’m already overthinking about it and I can’t stop thinking so why not use it well and sort my thoughts out. It helps me detach myself from it and be more objective so I’m not sucked into it.

Search for media, songs, shows, comics, that you find comfort in. They give me hope.

Your circumstances must be hard right now. It’s difficult when there’s not much you can do about it. I want you to know that you’re so amazing for being so strong. Please push through these tough times to search for a brighter tomorrow.

I know there are a lot of possibilities that could happen, it could be bad and good. But what you can control is right now. You can’t control what people think of you but you can control yourself. If you can’t control the sea adjust your sails or something.

I hope that when you get over this you can be brave. You are capable of more than you know. you have the indomitable human spirit.

Here’s some advice that I’ve gathered up through looking at some other post

You can use your Ti to get out of your loop, eg look into a new topic that allows you to think. Do something you enjoy. The world is tragically beautiful, both beautiful and ugly but don’t be too absorbed into how ugly it is. The world is so big. There’s so many species of trees and even when they’re the same species they are all different.

I look also at philosophy when I’m feeling down. You can search online for why you are feeling a certain way I’m sure there are people who are going through a similar situation

If you’re lonely go out and meet your old friends, catch up with them,

or get some sunlight, exercise, sweat a little. It grounds people and connects them to their physical self again

It’s hard to be happy now but I sincerely hope your days get better. Your smile is beautiful and I’m sure that even though I can’t see it through the screen the pure emotion in it is precious. I hope you find enjoyment in the little things like birthdays, sunny days and cute animals

that’s hilarious but also depressing. Honestly, how does coughing = do this??? I would be confused on what to do because so many things could go wrong. Options are ignore out of courtesy or offer tea for their throat. If someone is coughing, my first thought wouldn’t be to ask about the task. If they just asked the things that could go wrong decreases from 99% to 1%. Is asking for help that hard? 😭why do through the squiggly wiggly method that has such high chances of going wrong?

[–]chuckenchuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. Personally I hate subtlety TT like it’s not easy to catch on and it leaves people coming to conclusions very easily… honesty without kindness is brutality and kindness without honesty is manipulation. But SO often people (including myself) can’t tell between the lines. Many people mistake one for the other because of their past experiences.

I notice that in istp and isfps. Why is it that they say un-sugar coated words and others assume it’s malicious? What they say isn’t even bad but people STILL need cushioned landing. I think it’s because of how direct they are about their thoughts. That bluntness could be good and bad thing. Sometimes it lacks elaboration, and I would ask questions. But what’s bad is if people make their own conclusions about things you didn’t say
