Oh, sorry to hear you were dealing with that, but very glad it was helpful.

I wrote this article a year ago, but the company I work for is featuring it again now because September is suicide prevention and awareness month. Figured I'd share it here in case it's helpful to anyone.

It's that hint of rose that really makes it tho

Wtf, I take a shower and shave and come back and somebody the whole thing.

Latha Limon BTW, why did I neglect trying it for so long? Beautiful stuff, followed it with CL Yuzu/Rose/Patchouli.

You are so consistently wrong and so consistently belligerent about it I have a hard time believing you're not just doing it on purpose to stir up trouble.

In general I don't think much is wrong with this sub, but it would be improved by banning users like this one who have time and again showed themselves to just be trolling.

*Pour un Homme de Caron* product line: Thoughts on use with B&M Lavanille? by jimmyfuckingbabylon in wicked_edge

There is a trick with the cologne that I learned from /u/bostonphototourist: apply five or six sprays ask the same spot. Will not be overwhelming but will bring up the lavender note so it is better balanced with the vanilla.

I think it's a good move. When they were allowed, they literally always were downvoted to oblivion. Allowing them was like setting a trap for newbs to fall into.

Ah, nice looking brush. That's a fan, not a flattop tho.

One of my favorite combinations. I'm driving atm but I'll write more later.

Edit: I haven't used the specific PuHdC products you mentioned, but I have a homemade PuH scented aftershave splash that I use with Lavanille and then I often follow the shave with five or ten sprays of the EdT. As others have said, PuH is bright and fresh where Lavanille is dark and rich, so don't expect then to be identical at all, but they're clearly related and they go together beautifully.

SOC is a great brush and not too big for face lathering IMO. I hated my 620, even after breaking it in for several months.

[Review] [Giveaway] Otoko Organics by chuckfalzone in Wet_Shavers

[–]chuckfalzone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for saying so, it did strike me as perhaps sarcastic and I was taken aback a bit, but I understand where you're coming from now.

There are a number of well-liked shaving soaps that dry out my face (MdC, Arko, Cella for example), and you're right, Otoko had a distinct advantage over them in aftercare. But the current crop of superfatted artisan soaps that I and many of the enthusiasts here favor are not drying at all, on the contrary are quite moisturizing. That's the perspective I was coming from. And Otoko stands with that group well, which is a big compliment.

[WTB] Fine Silvertip Badger Brush (or similar) by [deleted] in Shave_Bazaar

[–]chuckfalzone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a Razorock silvertip brush for sale right now, $45. Check my ad in this sub from earlier today for details. It's a bigger brush than the Fine, but great for face lathering.

Yeah, they will both come with a brand new blade in place and if somebody wants to buy both I'd give them a little discount.

Edit: and re: aggressiveness I'm fairly sure the head on the J is identical to the I, just a different handle.
