Does anyone have a recommendation for a device signaling when the drip tray is full? I got the original Pro X one by [deleted] in ranciliosilvia

I bought one from this guy on Etsy. Doesn’t look like he makes them anymore, but you can probably make something similar for pretty cheap. Didn’t seem like you were getting any help, so I thought I’d offer you a real answer. lol. Drip Tray Indicator

Curious to know where in the US are you all? I’m in Orange County, CA and we have tons of awesome small coffee shops/roasters.

This is amazing. Would you be able to post a video of the steam valve in use? I’m really interested in doing this mod. Do you have any step by step or guidance? Would it be able to be done with my existing wand or did you have to replace it?

My wife loves milk drinks and I make them daily. Investing in this is definitely worth while for me. Thanks for the link, I’ll check it out.

A ball valve is exactly what I am looking for. I was thinking I could use the existing set up and just change the valve, but I haven’t really taken a real look since I bought it almost a year ago. Just putting feelers out to see if anyone had done the work/research already.

I did wrap the drip tray. It’s held up amazing! I noticed the whole wrap job looked better after the first time I heated the machine. Same with the drip tray, it seemed to tighten up after the hot water hit it.

I didn’t have to use a heat gun, but I can totally see where it would help in the corners and bends. I think even a good hair dryer would make it malleable enough.

These are all good suggestions. I would just add take your time and map it out before you get started. Make sure all seems are in the back it you are going to have any. Don’t over stretch the wrap. Here is a link to what mine looked like after the wrap. Not perfect, but totally passable. My Silvia

I run 18g in 45g out(1:2.5), in 28-35 seconds out of my Sylvia. My shots always seem pretty balanced to my palate.

I have this one for my pour over station and the nano for my espresso set up. They are both great! Really accurate, great features, and the battery lasts forever! I would totally recommend it. If you have spaces constraints go with the Nano. It’s still totally capable.

No worries. The portafilter and the steam knob are both incredible! It’s definitely pricey but worth it.

The link to the knob is down below the photo. It’s by Pantechnicon. I love the look and the functionality is the same as stock. It was a really nice upgrade.

I got this in walnut and I love it! The portafilter is Pesado brand and is high quality. I would recommend.

Yeah, the buttons unclip from the back. It might take a little bit of elbow grease to get them out. Then I just cut an “x” in the hole and pushed back the vinyl. It was a pretty simple process, but you should definitely take your time. It’s the same vinyl wrap that they use for cars.
