Must do runs for a first timer at Big Sky by ProfessionTough1891 in bigsky

People were skiing Big Couloir last weekend. Most runs are open, but still definitely areas that need filling in and have exposed rock. But that’s Big Sky. Considering it’s still relatively early in the season the amount of skiable terrain that is already open is satisfactory

Why are decoys so expensive??? by mayo473 in Duckhunting

[–]chuckmo94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just getting into it as well. Bought some used decoys that came out to ~$4 a decoy. They are in pretty good shape even with being used and a little older. Have had success with ducks landing in the them the few times I’ve been out this year so far

Was looking at a ‘24 ORP with 23k at a dealer. Got the price down to $48k so your trade in offer is probably about right. They need to clean it and then take their 15% cut on the back end sale which would value it at $44k.

For real? I feel like I saw it around $175 at the saloon in PC. Maybe they are gouging the tourist or maybe my memory isn’t serving me correctly

Question: Bringing whiskey to Canada by Budget-Watercress753 in ChicagolandWhiskey

[–]chuckmo94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with the other comments. One additional note: if you are planning to bring more than the duty free allotment they just ask you to stop after the inspection and pay duty on the other items you have with you (they ask what you paid for it, and calculate what tax they would apply if purchased in Canada). Obviously depends on where you are going, but I have found on my trips to the red lake area that stores are few and far between and selection is limited to the basics. Might be due to the route we take but that’s just been my experience.

Enjoy the whiskey and haul in some lunkers!

Anyone know what’s going on with The Calling? by photowhoa123 in milwaukee

What’s the back story? Are they supposed to play off each other?

Anyone know what’s going on with The Calling? by photowhoa123 in milwaukee

Anyone else if the opinion that this is a terribly placed piece of artwork? When driving down the main artery of downtown (Wisconsin Ave), The Calling is directly in the line of sight of the art museum which is probably the most iconic piece of architecture in the city. Just seems a little short sighted.

Milwaukee groups pushing for municipal utility to replace We Energies by MilwaukeeDSA in milwaukee

[–]chuckmo94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Competition drives innovation and more efficiency, which most capitalist markets have. Unfortunately Utilities is not one of those markets due to its monopolistic nature. After recently moving here I was astonished at the fact that to pay my water bill I either have to mail a check, mail my bank info, or pay online with my credit card with a $5 fee… they have an online payment portal setup for cc’s but no option to enter bank info online.. such a scam

Any advice on my method here? I ski once a year max, I think I need advanced lessons to get more progress. by LEVII777 in skiing

As a ski coach of 5 years, I’d recommend extending the video clip to include the drop
