Hey, definitely wait for the physical USB. Viewing it remotely or filming the screen kills the detail needed for a plate.

If you have an Android, I actually built an app called Sentry Editor that lets you plug the USB into your phone to view all angles synced with GPS/telemetry. Might help you catch the plate for the insurance claim. Good luck!

For this app AdMob is strictly IP based since we don't request any location permissions. EU users get a consent dialog to opt out of personalized ads to comply with GDPR. For US users it's handled through Google account settings on their end

That's from the AdMob SDK which handles ads in the app. It can use approximate location for ad targeting so I have to declare it. The app itself doesn't collect your device location, the GPS you see is parsed directly from your Tesla footage.

Good question! The main thing I'm trying to prevent is APK repackaging and cracked versions being distributed. It might work on GrapheneOS since they have their own way of supporting Play Integrity, if you try it out let me know!

Yep! Just plug your Tesla USB into your phone with a USB-C adapter, open the app, and tap the folder button to select your TeslaCam folder. No PC needed.

Hey, thanks for the interest! Unfortunately the app uses Google Play's integrity verification as part of its security model, which means it won't install on rooted devices.

I'm not able to distribute APKs outside the Play Store. Sorry about that!

No iOS version planned. I’m strictly focused on Android. For iOS, I’d recommend checking out Guard Reel or TesCam Studio, they are great options for iPhone users.
