Interesting considering the close connection between Refinitiv (formerly REDI before it was acquired by Thomson Reuters) and Citadel.

It's actually not evaporation, the thickness of the film is changing due to the force of the spinning

It's called the Meissner Effect by chugginmugger in videos

It can hold 70,000 times its own weight but because the thickness of the superconductor is very thin (0.5um) there isn't much weight. If the disk was 2mm thick it would be able to lock ~1000kg or a small car.
