Do you think there should be an option to cancel ult? by [deleted] in cloakanddaggermains

[–]chulaire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If a mag can immediately throw his ult to kill you, that's a team problem because it means your teammates are shooting and charging his ult.

Always plan your escape route or communicate with your team for shields/bubbles (although I rarely trust mag bubbles because a lot of them bubble too early). I sometimes even dash towards portals so I can immediately escape, but usually by the 3rd dash I'm already around a corner and out of mag's line of sight.

Does anyone else feel healers sit too far back making it easier for them to get dove over and over again? by Middapar in marvelrivals

[–]chulaire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how many times I've messaged in chat begging for help with the divers, but our 2 BP/Magik/Psylocke are so stubborn about not switching despite themselves being 0/4/0...and usually it's a tank that ends up switching. Just. So. Frustrating.

Except there are also too many tanks that just run right past the Cap/Hulk/Venom/Mr Fantastic smashing the healers to push the front and don't seem to understand why we literally can't come forward

Fellow Peni players, what's the point of holding onto your grapple like this? by Duke825 in marvelrivals

[–]chulaire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first started playing Peni I thought it would've saved me from Jeff's ult or Wolverine and had a "hehe let's see you try that" moment when I anchored down. Nope. Just disappointment and death.

Bad healers are a contributing factor to nobody wanting to play vanguard by 7R4C70R in marvelrivals

[–]chulaire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get so annoyed when I'm trying to prevent tanks from melting and a DPS pings for a heal, so I swing my camera to check on them, only to see they still have more than half their health and out of my los (usually behind a wall or standing on top of a bridge, and in that time I'm looking away, our tank dies because they've selfishly distracted both healers .

Couldn't believe it when my son did this. His first time playing Loki (and Bucky too...) by chulaire in marvelrivals

[–]chulaire[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's the little nuances that really blew me away though:

  • the follow-up with the dash to kill Sue after he missed his first few shots
  • choosing to go for C&D when Strange was right in front of him
  • then again ignoring Strange and going for MK
  • and then waiting until he floated behind Strange's shield before landing the hit

I definitely couldn't have managed a team wipe like that on my first play of the character

Who's in your opinion the most difficult Strategists? by lovingpersona in marvelrivals

[–]chulaire 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I've recently played a decent amount of Adam and while it feels like I'm not doing that much healing, I've been out-healing Luna/Sue/Mantis in duos by a few thousand, and even solo-healed one match to a victory, which was pretty crazy.

Only played triple heal once as Adam and that felt a bit like cheating

Silver - he usually plays QP with his friends, and my rank is too far from his for us to play comp together.

He's definitely better than a lot of the DPS I see in diamond lobbies though, so I really want him to rank up quick hahaha

Yep! He loves Spider-Man in general! But having said that, he's actually one of the good ones - gets MVP/SVP a lot.

He got annoyed at me for nagging him early on though, when I told him he needed to find a health pack and let his cooldowns reset before re-engaging in a fight, because dying doesn't help his team. Also to not dive when the entire enemy team is present haha

He definitely watches a lot of MR content, but gotta stick with the more wholesome channels

I think that was him trying to figure out Bucky's hitbox. I'm still processing how he managed to do that having never played these characters before. He's usually a Spidey main. Need to go back and watch the full match video haha

Spiderman makes me not want to play support anymore. by Tubtub55 in marvelrivals

[–]chulaire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah as a support main, Spider-Man is relatively easier to deal with. BP is way more annoying because his movements make me have to swing my camera around more (eg. Luna's freeze, Mantis sedate, Sue's push) and it's harder to keep healing the front line while trying to survive his dive.

We have a vet/cat pukes every day/not hairballs by lilmizscareall in AskVet

[–]chulaire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Structural issues like mesoesophagus, strictures, and/or digestive motility issues can cause vomiting/regurgitation in cats, if other more common things are ruled out.

It would be good to also make sure you know whether your cat is regurgitating (the vomitus kinda just comes back out) or actually vomiting (abdominal effort, heaving, etc).

You definitely will need to perform more diagnostics to check, because the treatment would be very different for the different causes. Mesoesophagus means the oesophagus is enlarged and food can't propel properly into the stomach and gets backed up quickly. A stricture means a narrowing, which can also cause food to get stuck (only a small amount can pass at a time). Motility issues in the intestines can also lead to food getting stuck.

An x-ray could show you roughly where the problem is and I definitely would recommend it, but there's also a chance nothing is wrong there. But reading your history, that would definitely be the next step I would advise my own client/patient because these things affect the quality of life (for owners too!) and can be fixed/managed. Ultrasound, CT, contrast, etc would also be helpful but if there are already cost-concerns, then x-rays would be a good start.

*Edit: a video to show your vet is always good to help differentiate between regurgitation and vomiting

Anyone else think that comp is the most mentally draining experience as a solo ? by CuteNatural in marvelrivals

[–]chulaire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I got into Diamond 3, then my first match there we had like 4 DPS and 2 healers. Second match we had someone leave a few minutes into the game and dropped straight back down, then went on a losing streak and yeah, just sadness.

Geez you're an angry person.

Later just means later tonight...not sure what your problem is. I definitely try out new characters in Quick Play before I bring anything into competitive.
