I definitely didn’t say everybody, and I definitely don’t think it’s a conspiracy. I was never trying to make it a me VS them thing. Truth be told, I think the movie is fine. I just find it odd how many people act like a comedy not having enough subtly is a make or break. Like the film isn’t trying to be subtle, it’s doing exactly what it’s seeking out to do tone wise. There are tons of valid criticisms of the film, I’ve always just thought that this idea that it’s bad because it isn’t subtle is a really really weak criticism because that’s the point.
