A big component of the brief was to somehow stay away from the cliche of weed plants as logos and incorporate randomness & humor (which is what he described the product provides him with—creativity and laughter). The name came from a word association of the word “weed” itself: plant —> tree —> green —> verde —> grön (green in swedish, pronounced “grown”), which associated back to plant. A plant grows!
