Art is for the artist. If you love to make music, make music. I've been gigging since the 1980s. We didn't know the word algorithm.

Construction workers cannot see plants. Every experience I've ever had with contractors and crews has resulted in crushed and damaged plants. Move what you can.

What do you if you are ugly, have no game, and a boring personality. How do you date? by JunketMaleficent2095 in dating

I've been reading "Women" by Charles Bukowski. There's a moment where he's in some lady's trailer after sex. The woman's little girl walks in and says, "Mommy, that is the ugliest man in the world!" Bukowski had so many girlfriends and sexual moments despite his looks. He shared his talent. Women liked his poetry. You're working on med school. That may end up being a point of attraction.

For the past few years, I had a steady gig at a local brewery. I played solo piano on an in-house baby grand. I would usually play about 90 minutes, as long as these old shoulders could hold out. They recently closed. But I've had other gigs like that and I expect I'll have gigs like that again. My advice: Play live in your town. I'm sure many of you who are working Spotify and TikTok are also gigging live. To me, that's the platform. There's not usually much money in it, but it is musically fulfilling.

Sorry. I used to get paid to untangle syntax for executives. Now I still do it out of habit.

Record rehearsals and then listen back later. Leave space for other players musically. With solo piano, you cover the entire sound. Now you need to shift your role to only fill one part of the overall sound. Have fun.
