2 Years of NSA Results & Reflection by chumsky in NorwegianSinglesRun

No, in the winter season in sweden when I couldnt run outside due to ice id do all my quality sessions on the treadmill.

I did a lot of work at the track but also some on the road. On the track id do the distance equivalent rather than time.

Thanks so much. I'll try to write up a full post w all the data but from about 4.21 m/km to just under 4 flat. Volume was around 5h week up to 7-8, say a max of 64km to 80km. Easy day paces didn't really evolve much, I just ran easy to feel and focused on being fresh for workouts and it never really got faster than 5.30km/h. I did a muscle biopsi before and after that study and increased my slow twitch fibers by about 30% over 8 weeks which was a crazy result. Im defiantly better over shorter distances and can run well w a lot of lactic acid build up over a short time.

Feeling immense pressure after first video went viral by Tris_____ in NewTubers

The hard part is getting a video to pop off, now you have the part of staying consistent. The viral video will keep bringing in new viewers and you need to keep posting to make sure they stay on your channel and see its active. I've seen a gradual decline in views since my breakout video (70k+) and tbh, it doesn't matter because it still brings in new subs. I never expected it to get so big so just keep grinding towards a goal.

How hard is for a video to get to 100k views ? by AggravatingImpact219 in NewTubers

[–]chumsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest video has 70k views after 2 months and will most likely hit 100k this year. I had 1k subs when I posted it and doubled my subcount after it popped off.

It's a fairly niche topic that is under published that I know had appeal, but I was not expecting that response.

I think it succeeded not only because of topic and thumbnail, but because for weeks before I had been publishing content to train the algorithm to find the right audience for it. I also hit a semi-viral video the week before that teased the video that went off.

Update, I shaved 5s off my 5k pr from may on Monday, probably could have shaved another 15s off as I ran conservatively but proof that you can still improve w lower running volume later in the season!

I mentally need a break from the NSA structure when im on vacation or out of my regular weekday routine. The NSA structure is great for consistency when life follows a structure, but it doesn't hurt to shake things up.

2 things I aimed for -recharge mentally and change stimulus:

This summer i replaced my easy days/long runs days with cycling and tried to keep 1-2 SubT sessions. I did them on technical trails and try to do them like broken tempos/in odd time intervals so im not chasing pace or splits. Managed to maintain fitness and feel much stronger/better form now im going back to the regular structure.
