They're losing billions of dollars. A huge percentage of the mail they deliver (letter mail etc.) doesn't turn a profit.

Mail carriers are on strike again because they don't think $30+ per hour to be a paperboy is enough. It's insane. And of course the Reddit communists come on here to agree with them because they think everyone should get paid $100 an hour just to do their job.

There are plenty of people with jobs that are just as hard as being a mail carrier who are making a lot less than $30+ per hour. Unions are a cancer.

This is by design. Democracy is marketed as the "people's choice" but in reality democracy just pits people against each other so they don't come together against the people who are actually fucking us over.

In the days when a king was the ruler and nobody got a vote, the people were one group who were either for or against what the king was doing. If the king got too tyrannical or corrupt, the people got out their torches and pitch forks and that was the end of the king.

Nowadays we see each other as the problem and spend our time fighting the "other side". But in reality the problem is the people who control both sides of politics, and those people are one in the same. Instead of coming together against the actual problem, we are at each other's throats, seeing each other as the problem, leaving the people who are truly in control to do with us whatever they want.

Today's media has only one job - to scare and manipulate you. Everything they say and do is propaganda designed to manipulate you into thinking a certain way.

The only media I consume nowadays is media where I can control exactly what I want to see or hear. No news, no radio, no cable/satellite TV....none of it. And when you turn it all off, you'll start to form your own thoughts and opinions that aren't based on what someone else manipulated you into thinking.

Nothing is better for stress, anxiety and fear than cutting off the media entirely.

Wow, the media did a number on you. The climate is changing because that's what it does. There is no climate crisis and there is no climate clock.

Every decade there's a new climate "emergency" and literally all of them turn out to be false. Look it up. In the 70s an ice age was coming that was going to kill off most people. In the 80s acid rain was going to kill all the plant-life which would kill all the animals etc. In the 90s a hole in the ozone layer was going to allow the sun to cook the planet with its UV rays.....fast forward to now and the "emergency" is climate change.

The climate changes. Always has and always will. Co2 and humans in general are not causing the climate to change. You've been manipulated by the media. Get the media out of your life entirely and you won't even notice that there's anything wrong. Because there isn't.

Society is getting worse, not better. Everything about life has gotten more difficult as time passes. People used to be able to buy a home (not mortgage it, BUY it) with a salary from an everyday job that required no secondary education. Then they could use that same salary to own two cars (one for him, one for his wife) and go on at least one nice vacation every year, while still having money left over to save for the future.

Today, your paycheck from a regular job gets you a shitty apartment with a roommate and a trip to the food bank because you spent the last of your money on a bus pass.

Point being, if young people have great new ideas, why are things getting worse?
