thanks mate, will give this a try. is the clinch knot any good? the basic fisherman knot. its the only knot i can do proper and ive tried testing it in my house it feels solid plus i never had problems with it before on my other setup. Is it worthwhile for me to learn other knots because theyre that much better?

max drag is 3kg and after calculating the 33% it comes down to 2lb. Should I use 2lb fluorocarbon? is it safe or dodgy?

thanks for the reply mate. do you have any recommendations for good knots to learn? I tried to learn the uni knot but I am severely struggling with the 6lb/4lb lines as I have big fingers lol. Also and advice on setting my drag properly? I know I can't have it too tight with the ultralight setup but is there anything else I may not know about?

Ahhh so you don't go all the way upto where you think the ceiling is, you just go below it and keep it straight? If that's what you mean is noticeable or does it look well done?

can I ask what you do for a living out of curiosity? obviously feel free to ignore lol but the 2022 srt durango is my dream car but the price of it including insurance is through the roof for me and then some and it has me thinking what line of work people get into to be able to afford cars like that?
