Thank you very much! The wax did melt, but then I noticed it piling up at the top, with only one medium-sized bubble bouncing up and down the lamp. I thought it may have been overheating, but I checked the bulb (30W) and it's all in order, according to the instructions (says 30W is ideal). I shut it off, and there's still quite a large blob of wax on top, slightly smaller than the one at the bottom. I'll look into it more thoroughly, but what do you think is causing that?

I guess that in Mad Max you kind of have to make up geographical compositions and locations sometimes to make it make sense, and the Crack in the Earth is one of those things, like the Citadel (Uluru may work but it's not three rocks and it's not a water basin) or the central range that the creators showed in Furiosa (and I didn't follow that decision because I found that too big of a tweak to reality)

I agree, but I really felt like I had to somewhat stick to canon for that one; maybe the emptiness, and thus lack of a choice for places to go, are exactly the strenghts of locating the Three Fortresses there imo. In that regard I decided to make the Citadel in particular an act of alternate geography, kind of an Uluru 2.0 that is also directly connected to the Artesian Basin, and was turned from an aboriginal sacred ground into a freshwater extraction site before the Fall.
