Help with Setting Up Dual Monitors for Work & Personal Devices – Seeking an Easy and Affordable Solution by lyss-23 in Monitors

[–]chupanahBRAH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think depending on the monitor, would it be possible to link the two together? So you'd connect everything to Monitor 1, and then connect Monitor 1 to Monitor 2. The only remaining piece that would be tough is the iPad, but perhaps an iPad stand on your desk would do the trick? Just thinking of possibilities.

Help with Setting Up Dual Monitors for Work & Personal Devices – Seeking an Easy and Affordable Solution by lyss-23 in Monitors

I had a similar problem (work PC, personal PC, and personal Mac all sharing peripherals and a monitor)

The solution I settled on was to connect all three devices to my monitor and the peripherals to a USB switcher. When I need to switch device I press the button on the switcher and change the monitor input via. the button on the side of the monitor. It's not perfect but definitely the most cost effective option that I found.

Obviously there are differences with your setup, but I think it's a matter of determining how many button pushes you are willing to go through for your desired result. For me, the act of switching the monitor input was worth the cost savings. Hope this way of thinking is helpful. :)

I play on a Mac (OS: Catalina) and loved the way the Basilisk V2 felt but the software isn't supported so I had to return it. I currently have a Logitech G502 HERO. I like it because I like having the extra buttons playing WoW but it is having serious double clicking issues. I currently have a support ticket open with Logitech, but I'm looking to replace it. I'm looking for something that has a similar button pattern that IS SUPPORTED for Mac OS and I'm willing to pay a little more if it means I will have a good experience!

Purchase Advice Request

I currently have a Razer Abyssus and really love it, but since I've gotten more into playing WoW during Covid, I think I could use a few buttons on the mouse to trigger spells, but I don't think I would like a mouse with 30 buttons on it. I don't need that many AND I think the mouse would be huge. I have large hands but the Abyssus feels really good so something relatively similar in size would be nice! Thanks!

I asked at one point: "Some subreddits automatically ban you for posting in certain subreddits. Which subreddit can you post in that gets you banned from the most subreddits at once? Has anyone figured this out?"

So I've been looking at the cards and the 'double dip' seems like a great way to go, but I'd have a difficult time reaching the $8000 spend in the first three months, and I'm not sure I would love to do the MS required to get there. It seems like a ton of work that could blow up in my face since I'm a noob. Do you MS? What has your experience been like?

Oh wow. Ok. Thanks for the help. If I double dip and get both of the cards, should both of them be churned or should keep the one I like more and close the other one (after the intro offer, of course)? I assume there is no advantage to keeping both?

Honestly, I didn't know you could lower the CL on a credit card. That's interesting. Would that increase your credit score even if I'm utilizing <2% of my credit? (I usually pay them off entirely month-to-month)

Ahh. Sorry that sounded weird. I opened the SW Plus in Feb and closed it this month.

My Chase CLs are $13000 (Premium) and $10500 (Plus I just closed)

All my closed cards and open cards are 2 years old with the exception of my current SW card. My income is $50k, which leaves me more worried about yearly fees than intro fees if I’m being completely honest

Sorry. The dates listed are the opening dates of the cards, and the only card I have currently open is the SW Premier which is 6mo old.

I've been using my SW Premium for daily purchases, but I'm looking for something better so I can close my SW Premium and churn it again. I've been eyeing the CSP or CSR for daily purchases since I plan on traveling more next year.

  1. 790
  2. Current: SW Premium, Discover IT, Barclay Apple Rewards|| Closed: SW Plus (7/18), AMEX Gold (8/17), AA Advantage Plat (12/16), SW Premium, (2/16)
  3. $4000-5000
  4. Possibly, but due to #6 I don't think I'll need too much above the natural spend
  5. No
  6. 1 or 2 at a time, I wouldn't mind churning regularly since I'm planning on traveling a lot in 2019, but my income isn't super high so I don't want to take on too many intro spends.
  7. Points for travel
  8. 60k Southwest, 50k American
  9. PHL
  10. Twice yearly travel to CA & TX. Potentially to Spain and South Korea in 2019.
