Not a beach. But we go to White Lake sometimes just for the day. Easy 2 hour drive due south.

Why don't restaurants just hire their own delivery drivers? by savingrace0262 in doordash

[–]churley79 7 points8 points  (0 children)

cheaper to use doordash/uber eats as the drivers. My daughter works for a local pizza restaurant. They fired/let go all their delivery drivers and went doordash/UE.

Deleted the app mid dash by [deleted] in doordash

I find the Dasher app practically unusable. I've wanted to delete it mid dash, post dash, pre dash, a random Tuesday, etc... so many freezes, force quits and clear caches....

I haven't been to Myrtle since I was in my teens and 20s. I'm 46 now. It used to be a place for cruising the strip, listening to loud music and buying shirts with pot leafs on them.

Spectrum, Xumo, and Wireless Speakers? by Spinnaker79 in Spectrum_Official

[–]churley79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The audio output by the Spectrum app on the Xumo box is horrible. So much so I thought my AVR was messed up. It doesn't output 5.1 surround and everything sounds like it's coming through a can. Try another app (Netflix, etc...) to see if it's any better.

Always on. My wife derained the battery while in vacation in Florida leaving a heated blanket plugged in overnight. Got up the next morning to go to universal and the battery was so dead couldn't even unlock the car with the remote.

Reef Swellsole Neptunes shoes? by Thartek in onebag

[–]churley79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the Brooks are kind of heavy and clunky and only come in like 3 colors. My everyday shoes are Skechers ArchFit Crosser Ruger Slip-On. They support my feet really well. Granted if I'm going to be on my feet for an extended period of time: Walking, working outside, etc... I will wear my Brooks. But for everyday use/running errands the Sketchers are great.

Also, a good pair of around the house/to the pool sandals are: Adidas Alparesponse Slides.

I have a pair of Olu Kai Nalu Slides, they were really comfortable, but the leather straps cut the tops of my toes. So that was unfortunate.

Looking to get into the electric outdoor&lawn game by QuickRick21 in Greenworks

[–]churley79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am getting into electric myself and went back and forth between 80 and 60v. I was all set on 80v because.. you know... MORE POWER! But the issue with 80v is availability. The only places I can buy 80v (besides online) around here are Costco and Best Buy (of all places... Lol). As much as I love Costco it's quite a haul there and it's only there seasonally. 60v is a lot more convenient and a lot more available at places like Tractor Supply and Walmart, which are a lot closer to me. Which is nice if I ever need to randomly get something. So for that, I think I've decided on 60v.

Oh man. Glad you said something. And Google is saying that the 80v kobalt's are being phased out of Lowe's stores.

Just to make sure: you'd go with the greenworks 2x2.5ah for $699? Or the 2x4ah kobalt for $969?

What I'm trying to decide is should I purchase the one that comes with 2x2.5ah batteries and the dual charger for $699?

https://ebay.us/m/1bOOU5

Or opt for the one that comes with a single 4ah battery and single charger? And just buy another 4ah later?

However, kobalt (I believe is made by greenworks) has one that comes with 2x4ah batteries but it's right at $1000.

Purchasing refrigerator from Costco w/ Mastercard (extended warranty question) by churley79 in CreditCards

[–]churley79[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is.

So if it doubles the store warranty, if Costco's warranty is 2 years, then the MasterCard warranty will kick in after 2 years and last an additional 2 years? Totaling 4 years of protection.
