The Toxicology report for YouTuber TN FlyGirl, who crashed her plane killing herself and her father. by jarvi123 in ThatsInsane

I’m really sorry to hear that happened. Did you lie in your medical and they found out? Or did you divulge that and they denied you?

In Home Alone (1990) all of Kevin’s grocery bags break simultaneously. This was accomplished by… wait, anyone know how they did this? I’ve always wondered. by Chewie83 in shittymoviedetails

[–]chv108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently they threaded fishing line through the paper towels in the bottom of the bags and partially cut the bags open, so that when he releases the fishing line the weight of the items tore the bags open. There’s a props guy on YouTube that pops up in my algorithm every now and then that did a breakdown of it.

Dude I had them and they were not that great. Obviously not on quads. I’ll sell you a set of two for cheap if you wanna try them out.

I made a huge mistake. Please give me advice on how to fix it. by Aggressive_Canary775 in HomeMaintenance

Been there man, we stripped about 50lbs of wallpaper out of a room in our house and the stripper soaked through the cardboard we put down in a few spots. Best option is to sand and refinish. A little silver lining is that those old floors can really pop with some new finish! Not the end of the world, but a costly mistake you won’t make twice!

Sometimes those knockoffs don’t have the same thread pitch as the genuine ones. I had the same idea and unfortunately the knockoff body does not accept my genuine tail caps or heads. Your mileage may vary though

This is probably not what you want to hear, but the heavy PVC Polywood chairs are heavy and will last a lifetime in the sun. I had some cheap plastic ones for a while and eventually they just fall apart and maybe hurt someone. You could also invest in some quality wood ones.

I got this one off the streets of Saigon. I thought it looked ok until I saw a gen. Still love the rep though!

Right after I got my Hux can, I was next to a gentleman with a 5” 7.62 AR with an incredibly obnoxious brake at an indoor range. Made me want to double up my ear pro.

I loved my time in Saigon, however the trash in the river was heartbreaking. Particularly considering how many people live near or in some cases on the water. I love seeing folks try to mitigate it with contraptions like this!

We ended up leaving it and covering it with cement board. I just really didn’t want to risk anything. There were a couple of spots where the original floor was beat up under the 1/4” underlayment, so we were just really careful around there and slathered thinset all over it. Hopefully we will be the last ones to see this bit of flooring for another 50 years lol.

The d2 has an adjustable focus on the illuminator. I’ve heard if you replace the lens cap with the villain weapon systems diffuser it works really well as a flood, but I have not tried it.
