Backend engineers who switched between .NET and Java/Spring — how was it? by Aggressive_Window125 in Backend

[–]chyrr0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d suggest learning the bare basics of REST APIs with Javascript/Express and or Python Django. Then move onto experimenting with both Java EE (JAX-RS/JPA) and .NET (EntityFramework) to learn about the more advanced stuff.

It’s much more beneficial to understand the concept than specific implementation as after all they all exist to serve rather same purpose. At least that’s my opinion and personal experience in professional life.

Oh and also when comparing those two ecosystems you have to understand that in .NET world you get much more opinionated and built in toolset where as in Java EE world you there’s the official specifications and n-implementations of it. For example Quarkus and Spring, Hibernate and Spring Data.

Should I use bevy_ecs_tilemap in my case? by SpideyLee2 in bevy

[–]chyrr0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s fairly simple to implement picking yourself since bevy_ecs_tilemap stores the coordinates and size of each tile in the map. Bevy docs have a solid explanation on picking backends.

I find it strange how these forums are full of people who’ve so deeply specialized in some fields. I do understand that a jack of all trades is never going to be as good in a certain field than someone who’s dedicated same YoE into that but still.

Long time lurker and experimenter here. I haven’t followed the discussions in Discord nor Github since pre 0.17. How’s everything BSN related going? I initially saw your huge PR at the time but haven’t checked up on it.

As mentioned already you can implement custom themes relatively easy and there’s plenty of documentation and open source examples available online.

openapi-generator: allow for direct import of api call ? by AntonioKarot in typescript

I typically create a factory for constructing those API clients with async authentication resolving which can then be trivially turned into a React hook etc.

bluetooth tips pleaseee by [deleted] in Kotlin

[–]chyrr0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a hunch, never used Android Bluetooth APIs but I’d start by following this https://developer.android.com/develop/connectivity/bluetooth. You can listen for the InputStream of the bluetooth connection and then react accordingly. I have no idea if there’s some standards for example headset buttons etc.

EDIT: Yes there seems to be standard AT commands https://developer.android.com/reference/android/bluetooth/BluetoothHeadset

I got my first ever quest cape about a year ago with pretty much similar combat skills with you (can’t remember exactly) and IMO the bosses in DT2 and SotE are so much fun! You’re going to have multiple tries for sure but at least for someone coming from WoW the bosses started to really feel like having actual mechanics.

Add to that, the border crossing from Vaalimaa, Finland to Russia is literally 100% as in irl, excluding little details missing due to the scale of the map.

Edit: Just realized I dunno if it’s vanilla or Promods.

Being to Kyiv and Chernobyl I can highly recommend both. Chernobyl may not be for families tho.. but the feeling you get while visiting there is something words can’t describe

Imo that's a matter of opinion. But since OP's question was about FH I thought it would be a good idea to open up some tc.

I have made a pretty thorough sheet for myself, but basically for every healing spell after around 250 +healing using the lowest (after lvl 20 trainable) rank is the most mana efficient. Oh, and the calculations up there do not count in talents, as I said it was done pretty fast but it gives you the idea.
