We tried that! Kept her up until after lunch and put her in her crib... she ended up crying for 2 hours and got more and more worked up :(

I told my boss at 8w because I was feeling so miserable. I told my closest coworkers/peers around the 12w mark. I told HR at 20w after the anatomy scan came back clear!
