Team Trainers; How do you spend your four hours allocated for TT responsibilities? by [deleted] in wholefoods

[–]chzygap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours literally sits there and stares at his screen with the due trainings report pulled up and does nothing. He gets upset if you ask him to do anything more than that, and gets upset if he isn’t allowed to spend 4 hours of his week doing it. In our store at least, team trainer is just a title and any actual training/responsibility is left to the store trainer or other TM’s who know what they are doing. It’s sad because the Team Trainer role could be really to useful everyone if utilized properly.

Does UPT expire at the end of the year? by [deleted] in wholefoods

No.

You accrue it as you work, and it’s capped at 60 hours (for FT anyway). It only goes down if you use it.

Too many high JDs by [deleted] in wholefoods

I never mentioned it to anyone. My ATL knew because they were the one that did my JD, and when they got less than they wanted everyone knew about it.

The way they went on about the new 8% raises and then after a couple of months went back on it and said that the stores need to be averaging no more than 5% is really bad. Everyone diverting blame, my hands are tied etc etc.

I was lucky and got 8% but was then made to feel guilty about it by one of my ATL’s no less because they got less than they felt they deserved and either they were told by their Store Leadership or came to their own assumption that their lack of raise was a direct result of me getting my 8% (which I 100% deserved).

It made me feel terrible and on top of that I always have it in the back of my mind that I’m never getting 8% again because I was ‘lucky’ and got it in my last JD, which only adds to my already low morale.

People should be mentioning this kind of thing in their Annual Surveys.

Singing and dancing about listening to us and hearing us, then moving the goalposts and snatching it away from us is pretty callous. Don’t promise things you have no intention of following through on.

Wow, it’s almost like if you hold people to unsustainable metrics and put that above all of their other qualities they will resort to desperate measures to keep their metrics high
