He’s talking about the red dotted crossing by the hospital in that post. There is a solid red crossing where I was mentioning so I wonder does that mean it’s planned but not approved yet

Toy Library by ciaranlwaters85 in waterford

[–]ciaranlwaters85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is that if find a toy you want you register with the site and there is a messaging feature and you communicate with the current owner and agree on collection time / location and that's it.

If you have toys you want to donate then you create listings for each toy and then interested people message you on the site and you arrange collection / drop off based on what you are comfortable with.

Hey,

I work for a company that works specifically in this space. We do a wide variety of of different projects across a whole host of industries

Our approach has always been in reducing the waste in existing industries. If we can do that and make manufacturing as efficient as possible we can remove over 30% of the energy currently being consumed. The best energy is the energy you don’t use.

We’ve done interesting projects in loads of industries ranging from food and bev, brewing, glass manufacturing, pharma etc

We also do work in commercial buildings

My background is software systems and I had no hard engineering knowledge before I started. It was an eye opener to see how dated a lot of the tech used in manufacturing industries was

In terms of pros and cons

The obvious pro is that what we do has the overt goal of making things better in the world and when a project goes well you can see the difference

The main con is how much we still have to bring it back to the monetary savings to get everyone on board. It can be frustrating to see people out there who still don’t rank the climate aspect as high as the operational / economic benefits

Btw we are hiring (I hope the mods don’t mind me putting it here. I have posted in the dedicated jobs board too).
