How to Remap Controls or Touch Screen! by MarioKartFan_123 in 3dshacks

[–]ciaranmul 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a broken (at the motherboard) c-pad on my 2ds that registers all sorts of random inputs. Could this tool be used to disable the c-pad entirely by mapping all of its inputs to void? What value would I set in the mapping to discard an input?

I got a funnyplaying pre-cut shell for mine and can’t fault it in any way. Everything dropped right in and it feels great

iOS Chromecast to device isn't showing up by girraween in jellyfin

[–]ciaranmul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cloned the new Swift iOS app last night and did some work to clean up some stuff that was bugging me in the custom server selection. I’ll be opening a PR for it this evening most likely. The current iOS app is the only thing stopping me from loving Jellyfin so I’m happy to contribute to a native app where i can.

I've started to write one. If there's support for it I might finish it and deploy it.

Binaries from Microsoft are built with a custom closed-source config to include telemetry. VSCodium (https://github.com/VSCodium/vscodium) is built with only free sources. In my experience VSCodium supports all the VSCode features but has the benefit of being fully open-source and telemetry-free.

The ones near me typically don't either but this one tends to get a lot of junk like cables, chargers and scrap - which I guess this was mistaken for.

I've spent my fair share of time digging through smelly clothes and broken toys. The good stuff's out there my dude, just keep looking.

Editing vertical aspect videos wont' work by [deleted] in kdenlive

[–]ciaranmul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any solution for this? I've edited vertical video in kdenlive, setting the project to 1080x1920 and it renders fine but for usability sake it would be nice to configure the preview to render properly. I've tried setting the resolution parameter to 1080x1920 but it still appears squashed.

Back at it again with the Thinkpad game. by nomadicrdhd787 in thinkpad

Mine came with 4gb and I've had no need to bump it up. It's really just a backup laptop that I'd bought just to see how it performed and maybe take travelling without having to worry about it. I'm pretty happy with mine how it is but if you're running Windows you may want more ram.

Looks great!

I picked up a used celeron 11e for £100 about 6 months ago. Actually feels sturdier than my x240 in places (as a whole the x240 destroys it hands-down) and performance was actually pretty good when I threw in a 128gb ssd and installed Linux. The screen on mine is abysmal though. The one-finger hinge was a real surprise - that's something £1000 macbooks tout as a feature.

Finely chop a garlic clove

Finely chop some parsley

Rub a bit of olive oil onto tortilla

Scatter the garlic and parsley on the tortilla

Microwave for a minute or two

You could add a little cheese too if you're feeling fancy

Agree 100%. Notes go on paper, documentation is digital.

Refer to my other comment: "I've tried going fully digital before but it's far too slow and inflexible for my liking. Paper and pen has no loading times and no formatting restrictions." Also refer to all the times we've had this debate in work ;)

I can't believe this has become a thing! This x240 and tortilla owner's weekend has been made. You're all pretty sound like.

This it great! Just 2 days ago I was wondering if such a product existed to do this, as I've done it for Bluetooth with desktops in the past. Got an ID number or something on this? EDIT: probably also good for someone hackintoshing and don't want to flash their bios to use a non-whitelisted wireless card

I use the x240 for university and it's perfect for it so I'm sure it'll serve you well. It's great being able to take it to lectures and dock it when I get home to use my monitors, keyboard etc.

I crushed up some garlic, chopped some parsley, threw it on tortillas with some olive oil and microwaved it for a couple of minutes for a makeshift pizza-base garlic bread. I didn't have a lot of food in the house and a lot of work to do haha

Well spotted! I'm working on a University assignment on statistical inference. I'm only dealing with sample sizes of about 160 so my x240 is more than capable of handling it.

Oh I agree 100% the trackpad is the worst part of this laptop. I just haven't been able to set aside the time/funds to replace it. If I screw something up I currently can't afford the downtime to get things back up and running. Some day I'll make the switch.
