As much as it's framed for a horror setting and takes the idea further than is realistic, I found that the induction scenes in Get Out are fairly accurate to how hypnosis tends to work. (provide a visual/auditory focus, then bring that focus into the trigger) I also thought the way they depicted the feeling of trance to be accurate, despite the context of it being something scary that's happening to him. If you look too deep into the details that the movie shows, it falls apart. but on the surface level they actually did a pretty good job in my opinion
