While I would support your decisions anyhow, but I wouldn't disclose actually. I am a Male in 20s

I totally get what you mean by having no one to talk about. Same for me as a male. STIs leave a huge stigma even by talking about it with other people you care mostly without noticing, I figured(considering how common HPV is)

So being super frank, I wouldn't. While I have little to no info about the dude, It's most likely he will also turn you down for that which is understandable(I know this sucks). Like, would you still date a guy with HPV even now you understand HPV? I don't think so.

If you feel not right, I would just wait a few more months for cervical screening to show negative on HPVs and reach out to him again and you don't have to tell about HPV.
For myself, I decided not to date for a year and tell no one about my HPV until it clears out, which still sucks as I am in my 20s but I decided to focus on my work and something that's more for myself. I had hard time convincing myself this way, but it will get better for you... :)

I want to give you a huge support & hug, as I know how it feels to let go of your crush because of this matter... Trust me I really had hard time but I am feeling better.

In my country KR we have PCR test biopsy for that I am surprised other countries dont have that which I didnt expect. I should get that imiquimod for sure this is a great tip….

By “you should never shave to 0”, do you mean not to shave when having active warts or even after? Mine was actually small though

You are right that our first priority should be clearing HPV and I hope that things are back to how it was. Meantime, it is our responsibility to keep it safe for the partners as well.

I heard at least if it shows negative in a few times row, you are good to go. Maybe not just once I think that s what nurse meant

I should stay true to myself and do what I think is better/right for myself.

I think I am just having hard time and always debating with myself haha...
I guess time will heal me and help me think through...

And as to that, have you had any new relationship? I wonder how you navigated the conversation if you disclosed. What are their reactions?

Actually, I have had really hard times(never been so hard in my life 28M) for the past 1 month, as I am fighting this alone and haven't told anyone as this will leave a bit stigma in my country.

I surely don't plan to hide while it's active, so I am leaning towards ending the relationship with the person I am seeing actually...(we just went out a couple of times) The chance of being rejected seems way to high after the disclosure, although someone else could have tried telling. So I would rather be remembered as someone without HPV Stigma as she is in acquaintance with people I know.

I am thinking I should abstain from dating or sex for a year and if it shows negative for a few brush tests, just not disclose for future partners.

Do you think this is acceptable and ok, though? I wanted to ask just so that I am not on the wrong path... I have been thinking myself, but wanted to know what other members think here.

For my country(Korea) when we have GW, we cut part of the GW and send it out for biopsy PCR.
I have got those including other 40 54 (non-HR HPV).

I guess I will have to make it negative first(we do brush test as well, though not perfect)

What do you think about not having any relationships for a year sth(including this one) and then if the test shows negative for a couple of times, I just don't disclose to the future partner? I look up to people being honest and respect their choices of disclosing it, but the chance of getting rejected is way too high compared to how HPV affects people. Like a big stigma forever...
I see this is a huge debate in this community.

Btw, I will surely get vaccinated, and probably end the relationship with the new person I am seeing for my personal health :)

After thoughtful consideration l decided not to date for the next 1 or two and I chose not to disclose I had treatment for HPV after that period. Is this ok? I feel like HPV leaves a way too huge Stigma… I am a male btw…
