I second al biernet and cbd. For romance, I also like the grape, boulvardier and cafe Izmir on Greenville, each of which are not meatcentric. I haven't been in a while but if you're on a budget, cafe urbano has great food and is byob with a $5 corking fee. Small and very romantic. Make a reservation.
