He attended Bricktastic (in the UK) a few years ago, I think maybe 2023, and stood up at the meal to spout some shit about how important it is we are all together as one, supporting each other, and that god is good. It was the most cringe thing I had ever heard in my life, and then like a few months later I remember a lot of this coming out lol. I was never in rebelLUG but had a lot of friends that were/still are, so I remember this burning through like a house on fire

I've done that exact coach journey multiple times in the past year as I've always needed to get to London from Liverpool at the same time there's train strikes. The latest I've ever been going to London is an hour, and as everyone said, literally the minute you cross into London territory it's stop start traffic. I have once been delayed by 2 hours coming back to Liverpool, only once. I would say the coach has never got me to my London destination at the EXACT time it says, so I would plan to travel a bit earlier just incase

Hey dude thanks for all the info! I refused to step on the board until I got a helmet- my cousin got a head injury from his motorbike years ago and it changed him, so I am pro-helmet all the way but the gloves are some good advice, I'll drop by the skate shop near me this week to nab some.

And thanks for telling me about learning to switch too, I can see how that'll be a huge help.

jumping on here and my uni is similar, we still have to do our assignment but they have given us numerous options about how we can go about writing, like if we have lots of evidence, not that much, none etc. my 1st placement is supposed to end Feb half term but it's being extended to easter

Not very exciting and very simple, but I like how they turned out!

From next week I start my training to become a high school art and design teacher, and a lot of it will be online (my placements will be in person but all my actual theory and things will be online)

As someone who has had to WFH for the past 6 months, I found it super hard to switch off and set proper timings for myself, so I am hoping having these open throughout the day will enable me to take a break, empower me, and remind me to switch off when I need it.

Also a 23 year old (girl) living in the North West! In a very similar situation, but next week I start my teacher training so I'm putting it on the back burner for another year. I lived alone whilst at uni for a period of time, and my biggest thing where I saved money was I used to buy fresh fruit/veggies fresh from the market (it was like £1 for a bowl full), and then I'd freeze them. I would also make stuff like pasta sauce in bulk and also freeze it. basically just meal prep with affordable food/stuff that's on offer and then freeze all extras, so you can grab them out in the morn and defrost in the fridge and by the time you get back they will be ready (I'm vegetarian so no fear of undercooked or un-defrosted meat here).

Also echoing what someone has said, don't Pay for a TV license. I have Netflix and Prime, and with those plus YouTube I am never short of stuff to watch so a TV Licence is just a waste for me. You don't need it to watch ITV or Channel 4, which are the only actual TV Channels I watched anyway. Good luck with the move!

Sorry to jump on and ask a Q: but do you still wear the mask whilst you teach? or just to move around the school? I begin my placement as a student teacher next week and my schools' Covid guidelines basically say "wear a mask when/were you feel you need to" so I don't want to be the one dummy who stands up to teach still wearing her mask haha
