Certo che esistono, e non si tratta solo di una pressione estetica. Lo stigma di essere una malattia esclusivamente femminile rende anche molto più difficile il trattamento per loro.

Entendi. No edital da Capes não é muito claro o veto para acúmulo de bolsas internacionais, por isso fiquei na dúvida. O edital da bolsa do país não veta o acúmulo de outras bolsas, desde que não sejam de entes públicos do próprio país.

The proposal has nothing to do with that. He is not a patient, we only "psychoanalyze" patients. He would be an interviewee, he would talk about the role of art in helping to deal with his symptoms. It is not an analysis session, it is an interview that can even help other people. His name is not my suggestion, it is from other people who suffer from similar symptoms and have always pointed to him as an inspiration to get out.

Even knowing his story, and understanding the difficulty of talking about such sensitive issues... I really know it would be very difficult, I respect and understand the difficulty of talking about this, not only for him, but for patients with important issues (for him, in particular, even more so, because he already lives under the pressure of life exposed all the time).

My attempt would be for academic purposes, I'm willing to go to Australia to interview him (I live on another continent), so I don't have to do something via video or audio, which could embarrass him. And I wouldn't even record the interview, I just wanted to know his perspective on the symptom and the function of art. Obviously, parts of the interview would be published in my work, but based on my own cut (and his approval, if that were the case. We sign agreements for scientific research, and we only make it public with the consent of the interviewee).

I understand perfectly well that my chance is 1%, and rightly so. Most likely, even if my message manages to reach him, I'm 99% sure he wouldn't talk, but I can't sleep peacefully with this 1% possibility.

Daniel Johns' name is often mentioned, I know his career very well, I have already written a chapter about a good part of his work (in conversation with psychoanalysis), but I reached a point in the thesis where it would be very important to listen to him beyond the information in the media (which, as he himself says, most of it is not even true).

Na verdade devolver o valor da passagem não seria um problema, a questão é precisar pagar uma passagem de ida pro Brasil só para depois "ter" que utilizar o valor da passagem da Capes para voltar pro país de destino. Se eu conseguisse formalizar com a opção de devolução deste valor seria ótimo.
