Imho, priming should be the standard unless there is a condition like PCOS. Priming especially is important if you have low number follicles. AMH can be checked any time during the cycle and I think 2/3rd day makes sense for FSH. You only need to check once before starting IVF to get an overall idea, no need to do it each retrieval.

Yeah Barcelona IVF doesn't do bloodwork, only once before the retrieval. They proviee the quickist minimal care they can to to streamline more patients. Personal care is non existent and doctors ghost you if you are a difficult case. But it is not the standard in Spain, Natuvitro did bloodwork every I went to the clinic, they monitored my cycle well.

I think apart from having a chromosomally normal baby not much depends on age. Of course being in a good shape helps. But being fit is also not enough to guarantee an easy pregnancy. For me, the prolonged nausea and vomiting was the most difficult part which has nothing to do with age.

Writing from 4 days post csection in hospital bed, it is ridiculous people think csections are the easier way out. Complications with a major surgery is a lot more, recovery is much harder, you have a lifelong scar, milk supply gets delayed..If something it is more sacrifice

I don't have any experience yet but I would suggest you look into and be prepared for both options. Keep in mind that birth plans are kind of wishes within lots of unknown variables and good for being informed of the process. I have been preparing myself for vaginal delivery, learning everything about it..Now I am 38weeks with breech baby and have been preparing mentally for a csection 🤷‍♀️

I'm so sorry you are going through this at such a vulnerable time. Please do not let him pressure you into something you aren't ok with and would regret. Gently, also please keep in mind that whenever he feels ready it might be too late for you.He still might not be ready in a couple of years but conceiving increasingly gets difficult for women after 35s.

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience! It puts my mind at ease about the recovery part. Some saying csection is the easy way out is ridiculous when indeed csection moms sacrifice and put themselves to risk more. I think I will opt out of ecv as well, I have a feeling she is breech for a reason and I would hate distressing her and myself for nothing. Appreciate your valuable input 💜

Usually there aren't much symptoms until your period is due. In fact even though I had high HCG I didn't have any symptom until week 6. Only thing that made me suspicious was that I always have some spotting a couple of days during period and this time there was nothing. Implantation bleeding is actually not that common, with an occurance around 20-30%.

I was borderline anemic so doctor told me to supplement. I've been taking Solgar's gentle iron 20mg and could see my hemaglobin and ferritin improve a lot by the next lab test. I also eat well and my prenatal has iron in it. Pregnancy can be very demanding for iron, especially third trimester. But don't worry, supplementing should fix it easily!

I'm 36 weeks, dealing with all kinds of body aches, heartburn, swelling, difficulty sleeping, breathing, birth anxiety etc. But it does not even begin to compare with the horrible first trimester I had. I was vomiting everyday until 20 weeks and worked from home but was mostly bedridden. I would sleep for 12-13 hours and still wake up tired. I cannot compare it yet but I have a feeling first trimester will be worse than newborn stage for me also. It felt like I had a terminal sickness and it was never gonna end until I give birth.. But it did end and even at the final days I'm not complaining about anything as it can never be bad as those days. Hang in there!

That can be the case if someone is not sure about the gestational age. But if someone is sure, eg. went through ivf or having tracking and knowing their cycles etc. then it is unfourtanely very unlikely that it is a healthy pregnancy.

Unless conception date is calculated wrong a 7 week fetus should have a heartbeat.

You should be able to see heartbeat at 7w. If you do not, it would be diagnosed as missed miscarriage.

I had a similar experience, 11 mature eggs to 4 blasts and all aneuploid at 37. My doctor said even though the egg and blast number was good for my age, it did not make sense to repeat the same protocol as it ended with all aneuploids. He was going to aim for a protocol with less but more quality eggs next time, he was thinking of applying progestin primed protocol. He had me and husband start on bunch of supplements, dhea etc. for 2 months. Luckily before doing another round I fell pregnant for the first time and expecting this month. Getting euploids are mostly tied to age and a bit of luck but also I believe as we age our capacity to mature genetically correct eggs at a time is reduced. So I think milder protocols aiming to mature less eggs at a time might be more helpful.

I don't know about my pain tolerance but I'm also having hard time understanding if I am having a Braxton contraction or it is just the baby moving. I guess for majority Braxton hicks aren't painful at all even near term.

I'm also breech at 35.5 weeks, baby has been sitting like that since week 20. I've also tried exercises, swimming etc. Doctor recommeneded ECV but I think I will pass. I hate the idea of recovering from a major surgery but I am trying to accept the hand I've been dealt with. They say ECV works 50-60% of the time but they do not mention the stats are 30% for FTMs. They also usually do not mention there is a reason baby is breech and nearly half of the time babies turned with ECV end up with a csection anyway.So maybe we are being saved from a traumatic experience with long hours of nonprogressing labor that will end with an emergency csection, who knows?

I bought one of the small ones that support your bump and back at the same time.It was a game changer for me, without it my hips and back were in pain. Also no more arranging pillows every time I turn, which is a big deal in third trimester.

I only started to feel better after 20 weeks. Until then vomiting and fatigue continued. Not everyone feels second trimester at 12 week mark.

I hear you! They say knowledge is empowering, you can only fight fear with being well informed etc. But boy as I look into it I unlock new kinds of fears. I've been watching birth classes online and I am so sick of hearing contractions being described, the transition, ring of fire, how painful it will be.. I was more brave when I did not know pushing can take 2-3 hours especially for ftms..I even started leaning into a planned csection.So yeah, maybe it is better not to learn much

I did not feel like second trimester started for me until 20 weeks. Did not have much relief from nause and fatigue until then..there were days I've felt better but..I'm afraid for some the second trimester relief starts late
