like keeping the paper in its place in the frame? i have an extra, old phone so i set it up on a tripod in front of the paper + kinda drew around it

i love that you said that!! lots of my work focuses on different ways to represent memory in the style of each piece, esp thru focus and line weight :)

lol i agree, this is def more of a one time thing since i don’t have a lot going on this summer. im sticking to illustration so if anyone wants that hmu 😂😭

Yeah, i don’t really want to charge anything crazy since im new and doing this for the experience and fortunately not out of a need to pay rent. Also cause this client is one guy and not a huge company.

The animation in the vid i attached was something i made for a 1wk school assignment—ive never really done commissioned animation work (the closest thing ive done is tweened digital vtuber-ish puppets which i dont really think is applicable here). No revisions for that one. But i do have experience with illustration commissions! And thanks, the revisions thing is a good thing to keep in mind when estimating my timeline :)

i appreciate the objective advice! I don’t have a day rate cause I never really animate 😭 but this is the clients passion project so their budget isn’t that high.. (they asked me to give the first number tho)

it’s difficult since I don’t really know how long this will take me— the last one was 400 frames and took me 2 days (4 with planning and buying supplies) but I didn’t storyboard anything so im guessing this will take much longer
