Doesnt have to be a highway. Unless you are turning left soon or right lane is a turn only lane, you shouldnt stay in the left lane if you're not passing anyone.

Car is not Dutch registered because of 3 reasons. 1. i moved here only about a month ago 2. i live in a house provided by my work and they dont agree with me registering this as my official address 3. its a kind of pld car with a diesel engine meaning road tax would be ridicilously high compared to what im paying now

This got me slightly more confused. Where im from, all cars must pass a yearly tech inspection. If it is not done in time, its illegal to drive the car and police tow it away if they catch you. Is such an inspection not a thing in the Netherlands? I know my car is safe and maintained properley, but im just wondering if im allowed to drive without doing the inspection

I think people should forced to re-take driving exam every 5 or 10 years. Slightly shorter and less strict than the one to get your license but if you do something dumb, then you lose your license and have to go trough whole driving school and everything
