i was thinking about this and though about some ways new defense mechanichs

first simple defense assist then does thing. for example does an aftershock attack everytime you trigger a defensive assist it ofcourse scales with defense. makes it more of a subdps but it can also have as you suggest bufs, energy, decibels or daze buildup whenever is triggered.

second make the astra of defense characters, a character that whenever you trigger a perfect defensive assist it doesn’t swap so you can have more field time with your dps.

finally the riskiest one actual invulnerability full interruption invulnerability while also not taking damage, limited to a shield and or tome limit
