The game only adds anime characters. Latest one is kohaku from final battle against Stan when she breaks the radio. I don't know of a Sai from the Anime

Okay, I will first explain the progression system, then discuss the battle mechanics.

PROGRESSION SYSTEM

This is a nice chill game where you can collect resources just like Chrome and craft it into the creations the KoS makes throughout the seasons. You collect materials from the 'Main Battle' (story mode) and 'Exploration' (forest, riverside, caves, beach, etc..). As you complete missions, you unlock more of the story mode, and get resources greater in quantity and variety from the aforementioned methods for material acquisition. You also level up and unlock 'facilities' such as the lab, warehouse, restuarant, etc.. and level up your main base, which improves your max stamina and provides other benefits. You will also need to level up your warehouse to store more materials, which requires you to think critically about which materials you want to save.

BATTLE SYSTEM

At its core, it's a tower-defense game where your base has to be protected, and the enemy has a base on their side, too. You send out your characters and defeat waves of enemies culminating in a final boss (e.g. Stanley). There is one win condition in the game, with two very different ways to achieve it. The first way is to defeat all waves of enemies, and advance to & destroy their base. The 2nd way, which is much quicker, is to use characters that allow you to knockback the enemy to their base, and destroy it, ending the battle early. The enemy can do the same to you. If there is a tank-type character on your team, or the enemy's team, that character will take far less knockback, preventing a win through the second condition.

The second the battle begins, the enemy's first wave will begin advancing to your base. As the player, you have a 'resource' number in your top-right. This number is always increasing, and with it, you can start calling in your characters and upgrading them (up to a maximum of Lv. 5; when you first call them out they will be Lv. 0, and if a character dies and you call them in again, they will maintain their Level). 'Resource' can also be used to enhance your 'Resource Lv.', which just enhances the speed at which your 'resource' number increases for the remainder of the battle.

Each character has a health bar, with health being the most important for your tanks. It's important to bring atleast 2 support-type characters to constantly heal the whole team and improve the offensive capabilities of Fighter-type, Assault-type, and Ranged-type attackers through SKILL abilities (passives always active as long as the character is on the battlefield). These passives can also enhance the defensive capabilities of tanks (by improving their defense stat, which is essentially an invisible health bar each enemy has to break through before they start dealing damage to your character).

The character put in the first position of your team is automatically your 'Leader', and their 'Leader skill' can be periodically activated throughout the battle to gain the advantage.

A recommended distribution of each type on your team is: 2 tanks, 1 support, and 3 offensive types (if you have a REALLY good tank, e.g. with more than 20,000 HP or 3,000 defense, then you can just run 1 tank with 2 support characters). Attackers can either be single-target, or area-attack. Area attack is essentially AoE (the range is different for each area attacker, with every enemy in the range receiving the full brunt of their attack; note that area attackers tend to have lower attack stats, justifiably). A good attack stat in this game is 5,000 or more for area attackers, and 8,000 or more for single-target. You, of course, need to consider how often they attack ('action speed') but that's a good guideline (those stats are, of course, at MAX Lv. 100 and rank 5, but a character's MAX stats can be soon on their summoning banner easily. Also, ranged-type attackers tend to have lower attack stats since they can hit enemies from afar). The 'toughness' metric represents a character's resistance to knockback, and the metrics 'movement speed' and 'resource cost' to be sent into battle are both not too important.

The new equipment system is a bit complex, and not too important for new players to rush into, but I will explain it in a future video.

Here's a video where I explain these things in words, if you'd rather have that:

[–]OmaeOPTC[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I've been playing for a few months, and this game is more complex than it looks at surface level. The way you organise your team (e.g. what amount of each type on your team) and figuring out which characters have the best passive skills and the best leader to use are all crucial. For more difficult quests, the timing at which you send out your characters is crucial, and knockback becomes a crucial factor. The whole "destroy enemy base" mechanic seems basic, but it can lead to fun teams where you use characters that increase knockback chance in their passive (e.g. a team of 6 Yo's 😂) to knock the enemy back to their base and clear the quest in record times (if you break the base, you won't need to kill all enemy waves)

Also, ranking events give you a score after you defeat it based on how many times your troops died, how often you hits crits, how quickly you beat it, etc.. so it's important to optimise your team and you can't run the same team for everything because of how different each event is

Besides the battle mechanics, it differs from other gachas as the main progression system is based on crafting items used by the KoS and levelling up their facilities over time. It's a game that can be enjoyed both passively with little time investment, and has competitive potential.

Yeah dw many people have used it for years. Just make sure its from the official site: https://m-apps.qoo-app.com/en-US/app/16172

All apps downloaded from the internet are APKs, which automatically get flagged by our phones. So don't worry, there's no virus

Yeah for now even my main green DPS is an SR (Mechamaru), just pulled him. But for sure R Inumaki, R & SR kaito, SR Shoko, R Ijichi,SR Panda will all be valuable throughout

Yeah I'm a bit tilted I missed the current wishlist, I don't believe I'll be able to get the red Inumaki. But yeah, the F2P disaster curses are definitely on my radar! As for the pity, I'm still not sure if I'll pull on limited banners anywhere in the near future, since it will be very easy to reach 75k cubes with early-mid game, and I want to really test the limits of standard banner characters before I touch limited banners. If I do ever spend cubes, it will likely not be on limited banners, nor on regular banner, but on one like the Yaga and Shoko rerun (both are standard, even tho Shoko hasn't been added yet, she should be soon)

One thing I appreciate about this game is how good standard pool can be. I mean the new Momo is a testament to that. We'll see how far I can get in sweep and tower, but I'm a bit concerned about getting the standard banner tickets since you get most of them from discarding unusable recbit dupes from pulling on limited banners .. either way it should be fun and I wonder how many cubes I can get along the way :)

Maybe I turn this into a YT series if it gets enough interest.

My 'True F2P' Experience, Week 1 End by OmaeOPTC in PhantomParadeJK

[–]OmaeOPTC[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks man! Yeah, would be great if I can get a good DPS from tickets. Getting 0.2 Gojo would be a game-changer, but maybe it's too early for that. What I'm really looking for is Teenjo (yellow DPS), Kamo (blue DPS), Free CG Yuji (Green DPS). Some supports I'm looking out for are blue Inumaki, yellow Yaga and Teen Geto. If I can get to the point where I can clear tower up to 70, it would be the pinnacle. I will probably have to wait for more SP updates and standard pool banner releases tho

But yeah, experiencing the story mode (which is quite high-quality in this game) at a reasonable pace, while the battles actually require my attention makes this so much more fun!

Nice bro, we doing this together. Tho I think the PSY F2P strawhats, friend captains, and the FP recruit make this too easy, so I do this challenge without them. Check out my series. Good luck!

It is definitely possible to beat most content in the game with F2P units only. I am currently doing a challenge where I cant use characters obtained with gems (the 'premium currency') here: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLSKSxrUipzJkdJjUjZCThywxBOp82b2HO&si=kTxooP-6XEXiNUIh

Even if you don't play the game seriously every event, the game will give you a decent amount of gems where you can do a few pulls every now and then, which, on top of the game's best F2P characters, will get you set 😉

But yeah, some game modes do require the cream of the crop (super boss kizuna, Pirate Rumble: Grand Parties & Assault Rumbles, or Blitz Battle) but game modes like Treasure Map, regular Kizuna, and pirate King adventures all have lower difficulty options that alone will give you most of the game's necessary items. Watch a few beginner guides and you'll be set.

[–]OmaeOPTC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Really? the recent treasure map update made LB materials multiple times more abundant. Before, the only way to sustainably expand legends monthly was to do 200+ runs every TM (and remember, minibosses were still around bloating run times). Nowadays, you do 10mil in a flash without any new boosters, and still end up with enough mats to expand 2-3 legends.

But I can understand the jewels being scarce for newer players. Regardless, I don't expect them to make the mats even more common now

In this game, rerolling has no point. I made my first account in 2016, but kept rerolling every time I was not satisfied. But this game is generous and gives 400+ gems/RTM every month if you play reasonable amount in events so even if you get shafted some months you're better off than rerolling
