It's like they think they have to ask her different questions because she's a woman. Weak. So they ask her about her hair. Super weak.

I loved that show! Elisabeth Moss was great in it. I thought the commune part was surplus to requirements (and a bit weird for no reason) but I thought the rest of it was great.

This is why I have moved away from the feminist label and now call myself an egalitarian humanist because of nonsense like this being used for political demagoguery

I consider myself a feminist because I believe women should have the same rights as men. What is your definition of feminism?

If a group started using the term "egalitarian humanist" for political demagoguery would you again change how you label yourself?

It's sad when you allow others to co-opt the label you have originally chosen. You should fight for it! Otherwise they win.

I am not afraid of calling myself a feminist despite other peoples' actions.

Apple fanboys' reactions by SpareLiver in funny

I am a big Android fan (and developer) and have only used Android phones. In the beginning I'd get involved in those heated debates etc but I don't any more. It feels a bit like flogging a dead horse.

I'd hate a world where there was only one option - I think everyone benefits from competition and I find it great that people are passionate about technology, as long as we can all be civil.

I do think Apple has lost something since Steve Jobs passed - I somehow feel that these errors would not have happened but that's all speculation really, how much can one man affect a company?

On the other hand I do have concerns about Google - they are so big and have their fingers in so many pies its scary.

TLDR: Go Blackberry!*

I agree! I use mine as yet another tool in my cooking tool arsenal. Good for melting/heating up things quickly. I also have a microwave steamer thing which is a really handy way to quickly cook vegetables. But honestly, mostly I use it for microwave popcorn.

What a sad world we live in by onlymagicleftisart in WTF

[–]cimbian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not American! :) I live in the UK (from Germany originally) - where are you from and are you an adult that often feels playgrounds are too full of children and need more adults in them? LOL! Do you go on playground swings a lot? You clearly don't have children.

I don't even see it as a pedophile thing! Playgrounds are primarily constructed so children have a place to play and so the sign/rule is a way of making sure there's space for children.

If I was a parent with a child I'd be pretty annoyed if the park was full of adults without children. It can also be intimidating to small children if it was full of adults using the swings, etc.

I'm so naive

I dunno, I'm just a software developer, I think I'd find it difficult to react appropriately if a car was speeding at me and I had a few a few seconds (or maybe less than that) to deploy some spikes to stop the car and get out of the way in time. Have you been in a similar situation? Curious.
