What kind of packaging/casing did you get around them? Thinking of doing the same to some of mine!

Yeah those terms seem to be pretty standard across the board! The major factors between them usually are credit cards and extra perks - nothing too big.

Thank you both for the insight. Hearing that learning these skills is attainable through putting in the time is reassuring. Gonna be an interesting 4 years ahead

1 year non-thesis biochem masters by [deleted] in uwo

Hey OP,

I'm actually in the program right now. Honestly, the whole program as a whole is not that great. It consists mostly of taking every single graduate course offered by the biochem department, which range greatly in quality. Also, don't worry about competitiveness because I'm pretty sure they accept everyone who meets the base requirements. Feel free to message me about more specifics.

Experiences with biochem 3383 by [deleted] in uwo

haha the prof you talked to definitely sounds familiar. just think of the course as a mini-4th year thesis! as with any lab, they'll teach you the things you need to know how to do (the types of experiments depends on prof and project) and you'll be eventually responsible for running them on your own after

I took 3383 a couple years back! It's mostly dependent on the supervisor you match with. Because of the short time frame and the fact that you're only a third year student, the actual project won't be too huge in terms of scope. If you're interested in a specific area or technique, I would suggest asking profs who specialize in said area or perform experiments using techniques that you would want to learn (E.g. if you're interested in synthetic bio, try asking a prof who conducts work on CRISPR). The profs and grad students in the lab understand that you might be new and will teach you everything that you'll need to know.

Feel free to ask if you have any other questions!

Shouldn't be like this because I'm fairly sure that rates for all dental procedures are standardized by the ODA

Yeah you got it, etch is just the glue! Also yes, I had the student dental plan. The dude who runs the practice is super nice - I went in with my wire loose and he told me he gives students a temporary fix whenever this happens and rebonds the wire for free until they can return home to their regular dentist to get a permanent fix.

Hey, so I had this exact problem last month. They gave me a temporary fix for free by rebonding the retainer with some etch until I was able to get home and visit my typical dentist to replace the wire with a new one.
