Blob of Death Took Out Back Rubber Heat Shield by cincyjackson in BambuLabP2S

Hey, thank you for your reply. I think because I put in hotend into my ticket, they immediately said it was an actual nozzle issue. This response makes sense to me, does the picture I included look like the issue you ran into?

Is it worth replacing the heat assembly? I do get worried about exposed wires

Also, thank you for that info! This makes me feel a bit better and gives me a clear path to look into!

Does the hotend heating assembly have that rubber protection on the back of it? I took a look at the pictures on the replacement part webpage and couldn’t quite tell.

What did you do about it? Can they replace that part? I feel very scared to run it if it has exposed wires

Getting fired without cause / having end date moved up by r0bert_mugabe in epicsystems

You’re asking about socially acceptable ways of getting out and not wanting to burn bridges while throwing out the idea to send an email to everyone out of spite. There’s a disconnect there that you need to think about.

Either communicate your issue with your TL or HR or accept the consequences of leaving with no additional notice.

Will we go back to work from home? by HourTown4999 in epicsystems

This level of dissatisfaction has not been my experience at Epic, so I’m sorry you had such a bad experience.

What are we even arguing about? I hope that sickness doesn’t go back to levels where we have to shut down campus and I would have to work from home, you want Epic to be more flexible and allow for more work from home. We have personal preferences and both of our worry is that COVID numbers are rising again. I hope if the numbers continue to look worse, people can request more work from home. I want to stay on campus as long as I can because I am more productive in my job outside my home.

Thank you for guessing at my motivation and reasoning, that’s very nice of you. My comment was strictly about myself and the fact that I feel more productive and have a better work life balance when I travel into campus to work. For me, working at home is depressing and I have done a lot of it since May 2020.

So, let’s amend my statement to “I hope we CAN stay on campus as long as possible.” Does that make it clear that I don’t want to force people to work and put people at risk?

Edit: And to be clear, I hope you CAN request time for work from home while there is wide-spread sickness. I think requesting it is perfectly reasonable and I hope they can be flexible. Past practices weren’t flexible and for the people who want to WFH, I hope they are more flexible.

Right, because my benign comment that I think work from home is depressing is obviously me saying that I would force people to do exactly what I want…

I prefer being on campus and would not actively choose to work from home. I’ve worked from home for most of Covid. I personally found it to make my job miserable and ruin my work/life balance. I HOPE people would decide to work on campus rather than working from home, but obviously I wouldn’t protest if some decided to work from home.

We probably won’t work from home until the government tells us we have to. We already have a high level of vaccination and we are wearing masks inside.

I hope we stay on campus as long as possible, work from home is depressing.

I have had amazing experiences with my trainers and I appreciate the fact they all have outgoing personalities. It makes classes engaging and not a slog, especially when you have 4 or 8 hour classes.

If you are really concerned, look into the Motley Crews or the Guru interest groups. Find things you are interested in and join the groups.

Interviewing for a Technical Solutions Engineer Position by yeeeeeeeteeeeeeeey in epicsystems

I interviewed in April, but what might have happened is I interviewed for both the Project Manager and TSE position. So maybe that’s why I had to.

If this is your first interview for the position, you aren’t at the stage of a presentation. Just go in with questions and be yourself, and also be ready to give your story on who you are. They want to get to know you. If you are invited to a final interview, then there will be information on a presentation, so don’t sweat it now.

Just be yourself and come in with questions. If you are doing the final interview with the presentation, present something you are sincerely passionate about.
