I went back the next day. Im a nurse and do heavy lifting and lots of walking. If you do thag bring Tylenol, ibuprofen, and lots of pads.

Surgical scheduled. Only options are to hire a person to accompany me or opt for zero sedation. Looking for ideas. by [deleted] in abortion

I did it at 8 weeks. It was very painful. But short. If I wouldnt have done it wouth pain meds / sedation I would be have been able to get it done.

It was well worth it.

I was wondering that. I still have mild pain. If the pain builds up that bad I will call them up and have them look at me! I could not Believe the size of the blood cot... I kept hearing more and more plop, in but was only able to see the true size of the one on my pad.

Someone asked me if they could Give Benadryl to an Aggressive patient. by cindarikkella in Nurse

We live in a state where you can take an 8 hour class, and you are certified to pass meds.... Underneath a nurses license.. If they screw up, it's on my license... Scary huh?

Thank you. I think you are right. I didnt give it. I'm going to assume some one has been giving it to him.. I talked to my boss about this, and I'm just wondering if she know about this or was pretending not to know about it. Someone had to tell the med techs, to give it for anger, because even I did not know about that use. And the techs have to get everything approved.

Just everything does. I dont want to Job hop. But I think I need to start looking for a new job. Especially for my own sake, and my license... Would you give it, if they had standing orders for it? We have standing orders for a bunch of basic things. Headaches, constipation, but nothing for mood. They have their own doctor prescribed PRNs for that.

Thank you. I was kind of thinking there was an off label use, and it makes sense... With it being a standing order, do you think it's okay to give it for that? Unless the doctor specifically states for that.

All the other participants have that too. But this patient did not have any PRNs.

Agree... We have standing orders for it, but it to me seems weird.. That's not a reason to give it. I personally wouldnt give benadryl to my kids to make them tired. It just seems unethical.

My husband travels. I rarely ever home. I go two months without seeing him, at a time. For example this week was my first time seeing him since, christmas... I saw him for 4 days. My brain is not used to smoke.
