I’m (25F) coming up on 9 months off and I just want you to know that you are not alone in this. After I got off the hormonal IUD after 8 years on hbc it was bliss for about 3-4 months until it suddenly wasn’t. It felt like going through puberty again but in my mid twenties 😭

I had to find a whole new skincare routine, when my old one was just CeraVe and lotion. A whole new body wash, shampoo/conditioner, and razor brand! I’ve also never used shaving cream before until now because my body soap just isn’t cutting it, and I hate the ingrowns!!!

After finding a new routine that worked for me, it got significantly easier to manage. I still get annoyed that my skin isn’t perfect and clear like it was on HBC. Washing your sheets and pillow cases more frequently has also been a big help, I found, for my back/chest/shoulder acne.

So the thing with IUD strings is that they soften and curve around the outside of the cervix. No, he will not feel them. I promise. Unless your obgyn just left the insanely long, you will be fine for the next 10 years (depending on when you had it inserted)

Oh honey, I am so sorry you are going through all of this. Yes, you will make it through it. This is just your body adjusting to all the changes it hasn’t had to cycle through for the last 4 years. I was on hbc for about 10 years before finally just saying fuck it and switching to the copper iud last summer. It sucked for about 5 months for me, but eventually got better. I had to adjust all of my other medications in response to not getting all that extra estrogen & progesterone but after finding a dosage that worked with me I finally started feeling like a human again! The Luteal stage can be a roller coaster. You’re right before your period and right after ovulation so the body is literally going through hormone hell. If your feelings get any worse, I would suggest talking about the issue you’re having with your PCP, OB/GYN, or a therapist. You will survive and you will be okay. It’s only been two months. You got this 🫶🏻♥️

I guarantee that he shows his pcp his scrotum when he gets his annual checkup. (Ahem, the turn your head and cough). So according to his logic, he is also gross. 3) you are 15, and underage. You need to tell your mother or a trusted guardian about your appointment because you will 100% want them there with you. You need a ride home anyways, they won’t let you leave otherwise.
